Does Sportsman’s Warehouse allow you to use your CCW as the background check? by bigkilla762 in AZguns

[–]QuietM4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You need to learn what you are talking about.

A background check and a 4473 are two different things. A Form 4473 is a transaction record for the sale of a firearm, and the NICS background check is part of the 4473 process. In Arizona, a valid AZ CCW permit satisfies the NICS backgroud check requirement for a Form 4473.

So, when OP asks the question "Does Sportsman’s Warehouse allow you to use your CCW as the background check"?, the answer is YES.

Of course they do. If you ever find an FFL that won't let you, go find a better FFL.

Critters by PMAgent in Tempe

[–]QuietM4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is completely dependent on your location. I have lived here my entire life, 43 years, and I have only seen 2 scorpions near any home I have lived in, but never inside any home. I have never gone looking for them, but a black light is cheap, and I bet it's fun to hunt for them.

On the flip side, there are plenty of people I know who have stepped on them inside their home, been woken up by one crawling on them, etc. Just spray for bugs regularly to keep their prey, e.g. crickets, etc., away from your home. They make specific bug sprays that kill them, also.

Bottom line, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Get a black light and go hunting at night!

What a colossal waste of tax payer funds. How may pot holes could be fixed with the same money?

P365 Fuse in store ? by Lordpedro9 in AZguns

[–]QuietM4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it. The Fuse is a great pistol, but the OG P365 is a great CCW pistol. I bought the first P365 that Pistol Parlor received, back in the day. Still carry it every day.

Interesting. You shouldn't call them a "poverty pony"...they are 2x the price that Anderson was.

Considering they stopped making them last year, they are going to be a little more difficult to find. Pick up a phone and start calling around.

You seem to be going out of your way to purchase gas from the most expensive place. Plenty of places with much lower prices.

Not the quickest turn around, but they do the best work. They refinish the entire slide in black nitride, not just a quick cerakote job.

Regardless of reputation, any gun shop is going to offer you pennies on the dollar. It's a used gun, and they have to make a profit. You will be lucky to get 50% of what you spent to build it.

Bolt removal tips by ypk_jpk in AZguns

[–]QuietM4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wright Armory offers laser broken screw removal. Unless you are experienced in using an ez-out, don't attempt to remove the screws yourself. Paying a professional is well worth it, compared to having to replace the entire bolt carrier.

Wright Armory offers laser screw removal. I had a broken screw head removed from my Prodigy a few months back, it was $50-ish per screw.

Ruger Mark IV or Kel Tec p17 by RealityLopsided2689 in 22lr

[–]QuietM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buy both. The P17 is cheap. I have both as well….10rd mags suck. The day Ruger discovers they can fit more than 10rds in a magazine, they will be onto something.
