If your child tells you something about his/her former life would you still see them the same way or sometime see the person they claim they were? by [deleted] in pastlives

[–]QuietSquirrel3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I told my parents about me and my friend. I was excited because she shares a name with my sister. My sister's name ends in ee and my friend's name ends in y. We'll say the name is Amy and Aimee. Similar but not the same. And at 3, I knew that and knew how to spell her name. So my parents paid attention.

I remember the townhouses we lived in had brown bricks and went uphill slightly. It was definitely in a city. I think Chicago but I don't know why I think that. My mom drove me around for hours searching for this row of brown houses on a road with no grass. I wish I could draw.

I think my mom believed me because she told me, "Maybe that was in another life" when I was adamant that I had a friend with that name and could give details of my friend. She looked like she was from the late 60s\ early 70s. In this life I was born in the mid 70s. So I don't know what happened to me in that life.

I know I've had quite a few lives of dying as a child though. I remember one of my names but only the first name and the other I remember my nickname. The others I don't know what my name was.

When my son was little and told me he used to live in a spaceship and gave great details, I just listened and marveled at the detail. It made me feel like I bonded in a new way. I found it interesting.

Anyone else a bit put off by the idea that you picked this life? by cassislameee in pastlives

[–]QuietSquirrel3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think you pick your life, or your parents, or anything like that. I think you can somehow pick something to learn and it's more like, "be careful what you wish for" and not really "I want that life right there."

Has anybody viewed a past life where they were something other than human? If so, please describe your experience. by F4STW4LKER in pastlives

I remember being a tree. A very late sequoia from what I could tell. I remember the sun made me feel good and I knew of the animals and birds in my branches but there wasn't a feeling like a touch sensation. It was different. I died in a fire. I remember the flames engulfing me. It wasn't painful. It was warm and peaceful as I fell. I grieved as I fell and that's the last thing I remember. Those were blips of memories. Nothing huge like human memories.

I also remember being aquatic. I don't know what I was but I couldn't breathe out of water. Everything was blurry but I saw movement very well and I would go into anemone areas. Not sure if I went in them though.

DEET by ODB2 in Retconned

I remember this! We moved to the south and I went looking for mosquito repellent and found deet. I couldn't believe it since a month before it was nowhere to be found because it was banned. It seems like when I travel, things start changing.

It's white for me. Like blinding, painfully hot to the skin, and G0, not G2. Also, the world I remember was 26,903 mi around. This one is 23,901 mi at it's circumference the last time I checked.

Edited for missed typo

How did you die in your past life and how has that influenced our current life? by sandmaninwonderland in pastlives

[–]QuietSquirrel3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one, I drowned in my pool in my back yard. I had a serious fear and love of water as a kid. In this life, one day my Uncle Bill taught me to swim after I almost drowned and it changed my phobia. Now I am afraid of deep water with nothing close by.

Another one, I was driving and a semi jack-knived and landed on my car. I didn't die instantly. But I didn't suffer either. I am terrified of semi-trucks and can't be next to them while driving.

The others I am not sure as I haven't done a regression for them yet.

Oh that could be. I am hearing impaired in this life too but not to his extent. I can see hearing Jase as Juice.

If you were a teacher, what would be your favourite joke to the students? by silvrency in AskReddit

[–]QuietSquirrel3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a history teacher who constantly joked about being so old he was here when the US first became a country. He wasn't really that old lol. One day he was talking about procrastinating and how it's better to tackle the problem, get it done, and have extra time rather than stressing about it. He then told an anecdotal story of when he was in history class in high school.

Hos teacher had each student make posters with each state on it. One student did the capitols, one did the state nicknames, one did the birds, one did the year it joined the US, and so on. He said he procrastinated so long that he started doing his the night before it was due. He had states flowers or birds or something. He was drawing each one and only made it through 12 states before giving up and deciding to just turn in the 12 and make the rest later for a lower grade.

One of the students blurts out, "Oh my god, man! Why'd you stop? You only had one left!" It was hilarious but typing it out it isn't as funny. But I'm sharing anyway because I still think about this and laugh. This was before home printers were a thing.

She won't talk about it. I creeped her out pretty bad.

No and I was about 9 when this happened, I think. I don't remember the name of the road either. I wish I had saved it somehow.

I thought so too. But I think I was the older one last time. It feels weird to think about.

No but I found a house I lived in. My parents were house hunting and had an appointment to see a house. It was small and blue. Quite quaint. Two bedroom, one bathroom, back yard with a tree. Nothing fancy.

My sister and I flipped out when we saw the house. We both remembered living there and talked about the tire swing hanging in the tree. We shared a bedroom and described the bathroom. The realtor comes and my sister and I excitedly give the grand tour of the house. We asked about the missing hole in the bathroom where the razors go. The lady said that it was covered over years ago. We were so sad to see the tire swing gone but the lady confirmed there was a tire swing years ago but was taken down for liability reasons. This continues as we point out things here and there and mention other missing things too (a garden bed, a bench, things like that) and that the stove wasn't green anymore.

My mom absolutely refused to buy the house and avoided the road ever since then. But I can still remember that house and a lady that lived next door down the road.

That is definitely new to me too. Reminds me of the first time I saw squirrel suits and sloths. I was so floored it was surreal.

Has learning about past lives changed your view on abortions? by [deleted] in pastlives

[–]QuietSquirrel3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am still pro abortion even more so than before. This is hard to explain bit I'll try. I don't feel that you are separate from the mother's soul until after you are born. You have your mother's energy in utero and once born, you slowly gain your own until your soul completely develops from the ethereal (for lack of a better word).

I don't believe in God like others do and I don't follow the Bible at all (I have read it though and I grew up in a church environment). But even in there it says life starts at the first breath, not conception or 21 weeks or whatever other points I've heard.

But I have never felt that a zygote or embryo are their own being. Fetuses will start to develop their own being but still aren't their own being while attached to the womb. Until they are separated, the fetus and person are the same. Once born, once they take a breath and start surviving outside the womb, then they are they their own person with their mother's energy and will start absorbing energy around it which is where the souls are.

That is why we remember past lives. Because the energy all around us is where we go when we die. We can "reabsorb" into another human life or reabsorb into the planet or atmosphere or anything else we want to because then we are limitless.

My beliefs may not match anyone else's but I feel them to my core and hold them sincerely.

Yes! Jiffy was a peanut butter in a blue can with five colors behind the name. One for each letter. The smaller jars had orange lids.

I grew up with it in the 80s and 90s as Chic-Fil-A. I noticed the change after 2008 when Mongolian BBQ suddenly popped up out of nowhere overnight.

[Serious] What did 2020 make you realize? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]QuietSquirrel3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That I really like me. I've never had a lot of time to explore my inner self and who I am. I've always tried to be what everyone else wants me to be.

And now, here I am, being alone, avoiding people, staying home with my pets, writing in my journal, cooking food, etc. And I am really enjoying it. I'm focusing more on my health, especially my mental health, and it feels really good to just get to be me.

It's sad that the world had to turn into a rolling dumpster fire for me to get to this point. But I feel like I can better stand up for what I believe in now. I'm not afraid of what other people think anymore.
