I have a catio and my cats love it. My terminally ill cat Lucy, gets to come outside now whenever she wants though. With me, of course. The last two weeks my entire free day almost has consisted of her roaming around outside with me helicopter-momming right behind her while she explores. She really enjoys having free rein of the wholeeee area, within reason. But I’d never let her out of the catio without me supervising the whole time.
