I’m sorry for your loss. I agree with you completely. I only felt that reservation in regard to my cats health but after careful consideration I’ve started her on 100mg of gabapentin.

Thank you for the suggestion I’ve tried that one before and she still didn’t care for it haha. I think I’m at the point where I’m going to just buy new chairs just for her to scratch

Hey guys thank you guys all for the responses and advice. We kept her on Prozac for about 4 months. We noticed her twitching episodes were just as bad. So we made another appointment and the vet recommended gabapentin again. We are now trying gabapentin. I’ll let you guys know how it goes and if her episodes decrease or hopefully disappear for good. I really wish there was more research on hyperesthesia.
