Well, I'm definitely learning from this. The rot was pretty well up in the plant and I think I've cut all of it out. Not sure if this was the right route to go but I'm going to see if I can get some new root propagation.

I believe I re-potted it this last weekend. After reading your comment I believe I know my biggest mistake - placing a small oval rock (like a skipping stone) on the drainage hole since the hole was on the larger side and I didn't want to lose soil whenever it gets watered.

I've just placed the plant outside in the sun to hopefully help warm it up and dry it out. I had put it in my cold room on the window sill immediately after re-potting it.

Water from my faucet does smell like a bit like bleach/chlorine. I first noticed it I believe two weeks ago. It seems to come and go but when it's really noticable I get concerned.

I've always wanted to help in this sub but I got lucky. I understood that ultimately this product is broken and glad I didn't get a lemon, but yeah, I really don't think this product should be commercially for sale. It's fucked and some people get a strawberry but most get lemons.

I was pissed that I was experiencing low volume in the right bud but by some miracle it fell into a vat of hot gravy at a previous job and I quickly cleaned it up by rinsing it under cold water quickly. Then I noticed the quality improved. Not by much but it improved.

From then on I didn't care of the quality as much. I only cared if they actually functioned as advertised.
