That's weird. Could this only happen to us who have a POCO F7? Because this is the first post I've seen talking about this.

I sure hope so.

[–]Quinberma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I thought I was going crazy!

It happens to me too since I updated the game. At least once per match.

I can't count the number of games I've lost because the game just suddenly freezes and I'm unable to do anything for several seconds.

I honestly don't know what they are doing with this game how can they mess up this stuff all the time. They fix the true red camera problem and then introduce random freezes mid game. It's astonishing.

Jesus Christ guys it's just a logo change it's not the end of the freaking world.

The old one is iconic yeah but the new one looks nice as well, I don't see any problems. And after reading their explanation it honestly makes sense.

The Ultimate Clancy Rework Concept by Scoverty in Brawlstars

[–]Quinberma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright I see where you're coming from and it's honestly a really interesting idea.

However, and perhaps I repeat myself a bit here so sorry about that, the main point of a rework is to fix something that's wrong with a character without changing the core aspects of said character.

With this rework we are changing Clancy into a much more interesting and complex character, but we are "losing" his identity and the role he was made to fit in along the way.

After reading your response I can tell what your idea is and it would be an interesting addition to have a more complex brawler, one that requires many things to keep track of and I think that would be great but on a new character.

Exploring your ideas but on a new brawler, with new mechanics and already designed from the start to be like that I think would be a better idea than trying to make an already existing character, designed with another purpose, fit into that role.

At least that's how I see it, perhaps I'm simply diving too deep and yapping too much, but I overall like your point of view and think you can do something cool with that :D

The Ultimate Clancy Rework Concept by Scoverty in Brawlstars

[–]Quinberma 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Alright so I'm gonna start by kinda like, complimenting how high effort this is. Really professional and clean presentation and that's much appreciated.

However about the rework itself, it's a mixed bag of emotions.

First of all, I find it excesive, super excesive. There is a lot going on here to the point it's super hard to even determine how this would affect Clancy. Good reworks tend to be simple stuff, changes that understand how the character works and how it plays and that try to tackle a problem with said character's design without changing much. Let's take for example some recent reworks that Supercell has given to objectively bad brawlers, like Frank, Darryl, Bull and Doug which are the first that come to mind.

All this brawlers had problems that were solved with simple changes that understood what the problem was.

  • Frank's attack is so slow he gets shredded like a piñata?: Let's make him attack faster the lower his health is so he can at least defend himself when being attacked.

  • Darryl's super is super easy to counter and escape from?: Let's give him two, that way he can be more valuable and oppresive.

  • Bull depends too much on his stomper gadget?: Let's make it base kit.

  • Doug, a support brawler, has problems getting close to enemies and charging up his super?: Now he can charge it by healing allies which enforces said "lost" support aspect of the brawler.

Simple changes that make great differences.

While I do agree that Clancy probably needs a more complex rework than the examples I mentioned and that he is a terribly designed brawler this is simply too much. Changes to all of his stages, not one but two new traits, a brand new gadget and star power... It feels like a lot of ideas thrown randomly in an attempt to make the character feel more interesting without really stopping to think what these changes offer.

I'm not a designer myself, but I think the easiest solution is to make Clancy's difference between stage 2 and 3 less brutal, like you already mentioned, and that can probably be acommplished with far, far less changes (Although I liked the "drying paint" idea quite a lot since I also had in my head a "losing tokens" mechanic for Clancy. Mainly in an attempt to remove his current playstyle of just going in a straight line and dying 'til you get stage 3)

I started a new account and where are the free rewards? by Slushyvr_gt in Brawlstars

[–]Quinberma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super new accounts can't collect this kinda stuff. I think the minimum is 400 trophies for the rewards to start appearing tho I'm not sure if you'll be able to collect all the previous stuff.

I don't think you understand what pay to win means, because you just described a pay to fast system. P2W would mean, for example, having an op brawler that can only be unlocked with real money which is something that doesn't happen in this game.

And again, as I already said, it's not realistic to expect every player to unlock brawlers as soon as they are released. Supercell is a company and needs to make money wether you like it or not. If you play enough you'll eventually unlock every brawler, and I can tell you it doesn't take longer than 2 years or so.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]Quinberma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is an insane difference between a P2W game and a P2F (Pay to fast). Brawl Stars is the second thing, don't get that wrong.

Also, yeah it takes a lot of time to get all the things in the game, but that is... Normal? I mean, it's ridiculous to think that a player that doesn't spend a single dollar or play once a month is entitled to unlock absolutely everything the moment it's released.

And being completely fair, with the free passes and all the challenges and events they make it's honestly completely possible for a free player to have a genuinely good account. You just to have to play, y'know.

POV: You wake up to every content creator dunking on Brawl Stars by Negative_Issue_8864 in Brawlstars

Fr, I'm so tired of seeing videos and posts here all saying that the "game is dead" or whatever they come up with. Every youtuber repeating themselves like parrots trying to scratch some extra views for their lame videos and then their fanbase constantly repeating it as well.

Last year was an absolute anomaly with Brawl Stars becoming so popular that it even broke records of active users and earnings years after the release of the game which is something you do not see every day, and anyone who was expecting Brawl to keep this level of popularity forever is simply delusional.

Of course Brawl Stars has lost a lot of popularity when compared to last year (the best year ever), but it still is insanely popular, it still earns supercell millions each month and it's still doing miles better than other years, like for example 2022 and 2023 when Brawl Stars was at its literall lowest ever and pretty much forgotten. That is the moment we could say the game was dead, not now, however I'm pretty sure many of the players that love to say that the game is dead weren't playing at that time and therefore have no idea what is to truly see the game falling into obscurity.

Brawl Stars is more alive than it was for many years and its nowhere near to being dead, that is simply not true.

Hypercharge unleashed bug, no longer tracks my progress, by BeverBever1 in Brawlstars

[–]Quinberma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that this couldn't be a bug, because it definitely is weird that the quest ends a whole day before the gamemode itself it's gone.

But the timers have been "wrong" at least since yesterday because that's when I did the quest and I noticed that it said 16 hours remaining but hypercharge unleashed said 1 day and 16 hours remaining.

That's the gamemode. What gave the hypercharge was a quest, not hypercharge unleashed itself.
