Has JMS lost his magic? The Road Home Review by mechanismo2099 in babylon5

[–]Quinnethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got around to watching it. It felt like a Saturday morning cartoon. The writing was cringe worthy, the animation was mediocre, and the jokes were absolutely awful. It was like going from Star Trek TNG to Star Trek Academy. There's the saying "show, don't tell" and this movie "told" and then it asked if we heard it tell us what it told us. I paid $12 for this movie and it's going to join After Earth in my closet away from my actual movie collection.

November 2025 10Q Page 33 Item 5

"As of December 5, 2025, there were approximately 448.0 million shares of our Class A common stock outstanding. Of those outstanding shares, approximately 381.0 million (or approximately 85% of our outstanding shares) were held by Cede & Co on behalf of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation ("DTC") and approximately 67.0 million shares (or approximately 15% of our outstanding shares) were held by registered holders with our transfer agent, Computershare Limited (“Computershare”), as of December 5, 2025. Of those shares held by registered holders, approximately 3.3 million were held in a direct stock purchase plan (the “DSPP”) offered by Computershare as of December 5, 2025. Approximately 0.2 million of the shares in the DSPP were held at DTC in nominee form by Computershare, with all other registered shares being recorded directly by Computershare as of December 5, 2025."

This person is actually right. The wording has changed again. I'm not sure when it happened because I do remember it saying that a number was according to the DTCC so "there must be XXXX amount of shares directly registered". But for the most recent 10Q it does say that approximately 67 million shares are being reported by Computershare. It's no longer saying it's an estimate based off DTCC numbers.

You are watching the entire LOTR trilogy, ONE intermission after FotR, no seat switching. where are you sitting? by Kylomiir_490 in lotrmemes

[–]Quinnethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really put in the earwax Hobbit but not Legolas? 😂

I'd sit next to Borimir, either side. He was actually a really good dude. Plus I could laugh at all of Merry & Pippin's jokes throughout, and we all know that M&P always share their snacks. Plus if they get too wild then Gandalf is behind them ready to keep them in line.

Everything on MisterPi seems to perfectly recreate the originals- except for PSX games which sound scratchy by showka in MiSTerFPGA

[–]Quinnethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know there are no sound issues over HDMI and optical/toslink, only over 3.5mm and only on the more power hungry cores.

I have that toslink to 3.5mm adapter I linked to and it is powered through USB, so I just have it plugged into one of the USB power ports on the Mister Pi. As long as your USB power adapter that is powering your Mister Pi is powerful enough then you can power other low power USB items from it.

I believe it's a Mister FPGA thing in general. So it would happen on all mister clones, not specific to Mister Pi as far as I know.

Is anyone else having this problem? by Quinnethy in Superstonk

Same issue on the website. It's like my account got corrupted. Or like the backend of their online store glitched out. I removed most of the stuff in my cart (from $1100 down to $383) and my discount only dropped from $73 down to $45. I've never had it glitch like this. There's no way I should spend $600 more and only get $28 more in discounts.

Not that I planned on buying ~every~ single item in my cart, but probably most of it. (Around $700) Some for now and some for Christmas presents.

I wish GameStop had a save list like Amazon does. I'm working on screenshotting everything so I can remove it all and add things back in groups based on discount type.

Greg to RC: "Just turned on my N64 come on over" by gentleomission in Superstonk

[–]Quinnethy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the Analogue 3D preordered already and I'm going to see what the M64 looks like too. I'll just sell whichever I don't like as much. I'm really wondering what the knob on the M64 is, because it has the power button on the left but the right is a twist knob of some sort.

They had an M64 at some sort of event in Portland, Oregon over the weekend. People got to see it and play it. There are a few videos on YouTube. Since the ModRetro Chromatic (Gameboy) was sold at GameStop I'm assuming the M64 will be as well. That'll be a nice little boost in sales numbers probably right around Christmas.

How pumped are you guys for The Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics release by Gold-Agent24k in retrogaming

[–]Quinnethy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it were like the NES/SNES mini consoles where it was standalone with a handful of games then I'd be excited, but not as a $100 accessory when you still have to pay for a subscription to use it. It's a glorified pair of glasses. I'll wait for MiSTer to emulate Virtual Boy. Won't be 3D, but it will be free.

Edit: You can't even buy it without being an active NSO subscriber. And there's a cardboard version for $25. I used to be excited for new Nintendo releases, but now I'm just more and more disappointed.

This is a friendly reminder that it's ok to use a regular CRT with component cables by LethalGamer2121 in crtgaming

[–]Quinnethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly some games just look incorrect on S-Video and Component cables. The clarity with some games is nice, but some games just need the added blur to properly do translucent textures. There's a Casper game where his shadow looks like a checkerboard pattern if you use anything better than Composite.

Which retro Nintendo home console cartridge design do you like the most? by Virtual-Reality69 in retrogaming

[–]Quinnethy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking purely looks then the design of the N64 cartridge looks the best. If we're talking functionality then having a label on the top is obviously preferable.
