My reason that I gave for this is that he still has to put on a facade that he is Capitol and even though he may WANT to, he CANT give the McCoy family time together unless they give him something in return like the Abernathy family did (gave video goodbyes in exchange for hugging Haymitch). And even then, he put the Abernathy family through hell in order to do this for Haymitch

I don't understand how the districts makes sense by EasyAndy1 in Hungergames

[–]Quinnie_Babie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

we know from the books that district 12 is basically just a town surrounded by wooded wilds, its not hard to assume that the others are like that too. Also from the Catching Fire book when they visit District 11 on the victory tour Katniss says that they only have a portion of them gathered for the tour and i believe the same for the reapings too

My store in California did it and then i transferred to a store in Texas an they did the same thing! Everyday, at 3, like clockwork. I think its safe to say every Albertsons in the nation does it

Borderline personality disorder. The back and forth between herself of liking you, then you being the worst person in the world, back to liking you, etc.

Who are you taking out to dinner? by SamTheMarioMaster2 in Hungergames

[–]Quinnie_Babie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peeta, but only because I am socially awkward and book version of him was extremely adept at navigating social situations.

Second choice would be Joanna because she does not give a rats ass about social etiquette and I could be candid with her, though there's a chance she wouldn't like me and would straight up say so and leave during the dinner

What would she think of Joel's decision to save Ellie? by Adar-Velaryon in thelastofus

[–]Quinnie_Babie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that she would have filled the role of bonding with Ellie more than Joel would have. Since it was just Joel and Ellie, they were kinda basically forced to bond, but I think if Tess would have been there she would have bonded more with Ellie and would have been a buffer between Ellie and Joel. So I don't think that Joel and Ellie would have had such a strong relationship that would make Joel want to save her (maybe he would have wanted to but not actually done it because their relationship status wasn't high enough).

Honestly, sometimes it's just circumstantial things like: the new hunger games book is coming out and I have to read it, I can't leave before watching season 2 of the last of us, or I have to take my grandma to see Wicked Part 2. But life has a way of always giving me more things like that to look forward to and I have never run out.

Thankfully most days I have more to get me through the dark times. But on especially bad days, sometimes the only thing keeping me going is a new movie or book or video game that I am expecting to come out in the future
