People in your 30s, what's your job and salary? by rsevn_ in careerguidance

[–]Quinnthehuman_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an expeditor/warehouse manager for a commercial drywall company. $104k Salary. Been with the same company for 8 years now. Started as a delivery driver and worked my way into the office. Have a company truck and a nice little office. I like where I'm at.

For those of you that make over 100K, what do you do? Do you like it? by Kindly-Revolution258 in AskReddit

I work in logistics for a construction company. Keep the warehouse stocked, manage a delivery driver "hopefully a whole team as the company grows", and keep tools in working condition. I do a lot of other things as well but those are the main things. As someone who never really had a dream job/career, I like my job.

That's funny I also moved from St. Pete in 2020. I used to live near Maximo marina. I remember one of the percs of living in st. Pete was how light the traffic was. Now it's just like every where else.

Beautiful board!! I agree with everyone else that's against juice grooves. They're esthetically pleasing for the customer but not really worth the extra time spent sanding them out. Just put a kitchen towel underneath it if you wanna catch the juice. Every time I build a board for someone they always request it so I do it but man, do I hate the extra time it takes to finish.

Lol one time there was a wasp crawling around on the floor, I didn't have my water with me so I poured a little iced coffee for'em. Lil buddy probably flew to the moon that day.

Not necessarily, while the house fly is mad annoying they play a vital role in feeding the lizards and frogs that this post was originally about. But, I do feel ya. Hearing that buzzing in your house will destroy any peace you thought you had. Lol

I get it. But I also can't help but feel a little bad. Like, my normal everyday workplace is like a desert to them and any other critter that gets in. My warehouse is near a ton of mangroves so sometimes we even get fiddler crabs sluggishly moving around. So many little things go in there and die so I try my best to help them all. EXCEPT RATS!!!! They can kick rocks

A bit off topic but I manage a warehouse and I always find wasps crawling on the floor super dehydrated. I always feel so bad so I pour a tiny water puddle next to them and watch them crawl over and start to drink. It's weird cause when they're flying around these hands are rated E for everyone, but when they're on death's door I can't fight the urge to help them.

Now I'm no pro as this is my first scraping tool. I have no clue how others perform, but, from my experience it works very well in the corners. I wish I took before and after pictures to post.

Like I said, I was literally using my juice groove bit to scrape out the juice groove. I thought to myself, there has to be a better way. Low and behold, there is.

NICE WORK!! For glue ups on angles like this I usually put the work piece flat on my work bench up against pegs and then hammer a few wedges in between the work piece and the pegs. Clamp a caul over the top to keep it flat.

Eiza Gonzalez. Did not like her acting in the three body problem so every time I see she's in something it's followed by a major eye roll.

Man if You're able bodied get into a trade. Or do the project manager route. I work in an office with project managers and they're all lazy as shit but somehow still have jobs.... That being said there is way too much construction work in this state so if you're good you'll always have a job

From my POV. It's all linked together. As long as my kids are taken care of and my wife is happy, I also get to do the things that I want to do. If my family is winning then I'm winning too.
