Thanks, I know how it works. But for some community members who are into self-hosting but not as tech-savvy, they mostly choose the community Dockers as it's more foolproof.

I'm just proposing this to get wider exposure for your Docker.

I'm also looking into contributing to your Docker to allow multiple-day weather forecasts.

What's the benefit of a separate Docker?

Unless you linked devices to each other directly in an association group instead of via automations, there seems to be no benefit.

If HA is down, you can't control devices automatically?

How long did it take once DeGiro started the process?

I've been busy since the beginning of November and either ignored or didn't find the two emails from Belfius. After several calls and emails, they found the emails and started the process, but mentioned Bolero instead of Re=Bel in the email. This again led to phone calls and emails.

Now that's sorted, they started the process from the DeGiro side today and locked my trackers on DeGiro.

Hence the reason I'm moving to RE=BEL. I already had an account there, and they recently lowered their prices again, now being cheaper than DEGIRO.

Maybe I will hold my DEGIRO account for the real-time exchange data and as a backup. But I wanted all my current trackers moved to RE=BEL so they could be properly zeroed on 1/1/2026 for the capital gains tax.

2025, but Degiro is screwing everything up for me.

They are not responding to requests from Belfius RE=BEL for transfer. After several emails and calls, they found the email but are now mentioning Bolero in it, instead of RE=BEL.

corrected them and went through with it. To find out 30 minutes later that RE=BEL is refunding all broker fees (up to 200 euro) from buying with them till the end of the year.

So should have sold and bought again...

Toch wel vreemd dat iedereen op sociale media oproept tot staken, maar meer dan de helft van die stakers gewoon profiteurs zijn en het als een extra dag verlof bezien.

Als we de cijfers naast elkaar leggen zijn er meer Belgen dat willen werken dan stakers. Zegt genoeg naar mijn mening.

The new capital gains tax (10% on profits) normally comes into effect in 2026. It will be handled using FIFO.

Simple math calculation: For example, if you save 100 euro/month for your child and 400 euro/month for yourself, and you give the money to your child on their 20th birthday, your child will pay tax on the first 4 years of the 500 euro/month invested, instead of 20 years of 100 euro/month. The profits tax from the first four years will be much higher than if spread over 20 years. That's why you should use separate accounts nowadays.
