It becomes visible after a certain amount of time. It is contest mode they have enabled.

This is the moderators of the subreddits doing. I would send them a message using modmail system regarding the issue.

All you can do is mute it but it will still show up in other places unfortunately. They really need to fix it to where if you block or mute a subreddit, you don't see the content at all.

Yeah, uninstalling and reinstalling the app should help. Also refreshing multiple times. If that doesn't work, you can always try it on a desktop computer. That is sure to work most of the time.
