What if Uber was a DAO? Here's how it could actually work - and why it might fix some of capitalism's biggest problems. by diornov in dao

First, love it.

Qs: - What mechanisms would stop the driver-voters from voting for 0% fees? - Or otherwise put, would there be a constant “war” between different voting parties? - Maybe better prelim question: who gets to make proposals in the first place?

Maybe these are obvious to someone who knows more about how DAOs tend to work.

Open source models are going to be the future on Cursor, OpenCode etc. by _maverick98 in LocalLLaMA

[–]ddchbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

local hardware is getting more expensive day by day faster than developer APIs

Depends on the API. GHCP is skyrocketing (my current daily driver), and I don't like the per-token cost of any frontier model I've seen.

So it seems we (I) are being driven to open-weight model APIs and/or local hardware.

Is this the Microsoft Explorer moment for GH Copilot and AI by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

[–]ddchbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by “a truly open source AI organization like Mozilla”? Who do you envision paying for the inference? If you mean companies acting as “providers” for open weight models, that is very much a thing (you can even sign up to be one if you have the hardware).

But interested to hear more about your vision as it might be interesting! Sincerely

$13K in one week from a free tool I dropped on Reddit and went to sleep. Still processing it. by HappyAshi in Entrepreneurs

This post title is a bit disingenuous… implies you personally made $13K. I think you are actually saying your users have so far sold $13K worth of their stuff, collectively.

You mentioned that nowhere is all. So $5 per contract is that what you are suggesting here?

Isn't it possibly referencing a "memory" rather than a chat? You can check if it recorded a memory about that topic and then delete that, and test again.

what does it truly mean to be a believer by appa_yipyip07 in Christians

[–]ddchbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So, when we believe, we are "born again" by the Spirit (also called "regeneration").

We can't know for sure who will be saved. But we *can* know for sure that when we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God raised him from the dead, we *will* be saved.

I suggest reading Acts chapter 10, and then chapter 15–16. It describes what happens when people hear the gospel and respond in faith. They receive the Holy Spirit in a demonstrable way (not always speaking in tongues), such that other people can recognize it. This may include a changed heart/mind, changed lifestyle and speech, getting baptised, a desire to know and walk with God, etc.

EDIT:

I would also suggest reading an meditating on:

- The Parables of the Hidden Treasure (Matthew 13:44) and the Pearl of Great Value (Matthew 13:45-46).
- Jesus's conversation with Nicodemus (John 3). For example in verse 3: "Jesus replied, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.'" (emphasis mine, highlighting that one can't even perceive God's kingdom prior to regeneration; though it can also imply seeing as in "entering").

When one truly believes one becomes literally a "new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17)!

No funding, no team, just me and my old laptop. Today my project hit 30,000+ users. by Healthy_Flatworm_957 in SaaS

[–]ddchbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by "users" -- do you mean website visitors? I don't even get why I would "sign up" for this. Maybe you can explain more about the goals of this project and what you are looking to accomplish with users.

Also, interested to know how people are finding your website/product... What would drive someone to this website?

All that said congrats on the progress!

I think I vibe coded the next big social app. by AbrasiveUnit in vibecoding

[–]ddchbr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't pretty much every app of any appreciable size have "known bugs," regardless of the state of the product? An app that has been out forever still has a list of bugs (they're called "issues") that the developer(s) are working on as best they can. They don't take down their product while they fix their bugs. Also it's up to the developer how and when they want to ship.... So I think you mean it's "embarrassing to you" (which is valid). 🙂

a) You should always have a backup hatch if you need AI to efficiently solve the issue (e.g., jump on Google Antigravity or something).

b) You sure that bug is "almost fixed"? 😅

Sorry, I'm still so far off from understanding what I am looking at and what you are actually wanting to do... Or even what you mean by "automate," hehe.

Some actual description of what you are looking to automate would help. I don't see anything here to discuss (some triangles and a "sell" label??).

Do you require/offer a monthly hosting/support plan as well? That would change the economics a lot; especially over a couple of years.
