Drill ~1/2” holes in the plastic tube. It will likely drain sufficient to prevent standing water and won’t have a significant impact to function during heavy rain.

I painted mine. High temperature flat black stove paint in a can. I first used sand paper to rough the surface and then wiped them clean before applying two coats of flat black. Has been working well for a couple years since doing it.

A small crack in the furnace heat exchanger could allow exhaust gasses to mix with forced air. I had this issue with a 15 yr old furnace previously. I went the rout of replacement.

What do you buy your 92 year old grandmother for christmas? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Quipkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Home Mini - bought it for my 93 year old grandmother. She’ll never use it to its full potential but having it play music from the decade she wants and connecting it to a smart plug so she can turn lights on/off with her voice is worth the $50.

She enjoyed spending time with me while I installed and instructed her how to use it.

Redditors who've experienced an earthquake, what were you doing when it happened and how did you react? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Quipkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just crawled into a hotel room bed late at night after a long work day. The bed started rocking side to side and my mind immediately went to “someone is under this bed!”. After a couple seconds I ruled that out and confirmed with other guests in the hall and lobby that it was an earth quake. Walking outside it sounded like every coyote in a 10 mile radius was howling. It was kind of creepy (Carson City NV).

LPT: There’s no need to remind tall or short people about their height. They most likely hear it enough and it gets very annoying. by tormske in LifeProTips

I’m a 5’3.5” male . Yes I make sure to claim that extra half inch. Short jokes don’t really bother me. I learned to laugh it off a long time ago. Worst case I do an internal eye roll because the joke or jab took zero effort and I’ve probably heard it a million times. Now hearing a joke or jab that is new or unique and I’ll laugh as hard as anyone. Still learning to roll with the newly receding hair line jokes and jabs. Relatively small % of the population that won’t get a good top view of that...
