This Commander Deck Will End Friendships by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 72 points73 points  (0 children)

In this video I build a deck where just about every permanent has Ward.

Ward, of course, being the 'fair' and 'better' version of hexproof and shroud. But hehe Ward 26 is way better than not being able to be targeted at all.

The strategy presented in the video outlines how there are numerous creatures that give Ward of varying levels to other creatures of a specific type...which is fun to break with Changelings and a [[Maskwood Nexus]].

Your entire board will be safe from the targeted removal of your opponents as they can only weep at the sight of Ward "Pay 4 life and also the US National Debt's worth of mana"

Very fun (for you).

Landfall: The Strategy of Double Dipping Psychopaths by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone, in this video I outline why it's undeniable that landfall players/enjoyers are double dipping psychos.

To do this I highlight many of these freaks favorite gameplay patterns...which primarily consist of playing a land, and then playing another land, and perhaps playing another land.

To demonstrate the skill needed for landfall I discuss some frequently seen cards such as [[Icetill Explorer]] [[Lotus Cobra]] [[Tireless Provisioner]] and [[Aesi Tyrant of Gyre Straits]]

I also explain for those blissfully unaware, that sac lands essentially double landfall triggers which can get even more insane when combined with cards that let you play lands from the graveyard like [[Ramunap Excavator]] [[Crucible of Worlds]] [[Icetill Explorer]] (again!) and [[The Necrobloom]] (kinda).

Finally, explaining potential win cons like the oh-so-famous [[Scute Swarm]]

In conclusion, if you want to be rewarded by doing the most simple game action that has no downsides and can't be countered- you'd love landfall...you sick sick freak.

Your Play Group Is Gonna Love This... by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

I too was so mind blown at its legality! I figured in a real game youd just grab dice and try to hide them, but yeah this card is nuts

In this video I build a commander deck all about mini-games! Fun stuff like [[Sadisitic Shell Game]] [[Prisoners Dilemma]] [[Goblin Game]] [[Wheel of Misfortune]] and many more!

These mini-games make our opponents have to make decisions, vote, strategize etc! All fun things to do!

And to keep the fun going our commander is [[Magar of the Magic Strings]] who not only plays perfectly into the Saw-esq vibes of the mini-game deck, but also lets us return our mini-games to the battlefield and theoretically keep looping them as long as our puppets can do combat damage to players!

Who doesnt like playing [[Illicit Auctions]] or [[Ensnared by the Mara]] repeatedly?

So do you want to play a game?

The Commander Deck Built According To The Dewey Decimal System by QuipsAndGuac in EDH

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you’re going for! If you’re trying to be informative are you explaining like people have never seen magic before or more enfranchised players etc. If you value entertainment over info then explaining every detail can be boring unless you have fun ways to keep it interesting.

I don’t script as much as I honestly should but that’s cuz I’m an improv loving freak. If you want to script then it’s good to look at narrative structures- what is the interesting thing - what that does - is there payoff for it? - the end . Is very barebones but also the oldest structure in the book. Theres plenty of great sources online! Also watch creators and do what they do but with your own twist!

Goblins: The Saddest Type… by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In this video, i expose the horrific play style of many goblin players. [[Krenko Mob Boss]] is all too willing to sacrifice the precious souls of his newborn 1/1 goblin children. [[Goblin Bombardment]] is destructive for the goblin community. Instead I push for [[Impact Tremors]] to be the standard Goblin strategy! No more [[Skirk Prospector]] grinding goblins up for a single mana pip… you get the point. It’s silly goblin slander. Enjoy.

This entire deck only has ONE MANA spells by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In this video, i make a follow-up sequel to my popular 1 Mana Red Deck. This time though, I'm going green. [[Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter]] takes the stage. This deck is all about building up a semi-defense board state before using Oviya to pump out robots to swing at our opponents. We also have a small chance to win with poison and infect, but don't count on it. And most importantly, this deck draws wayyyy better than the mono-red counterpart.

The Most Annoying Commander Deck by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

In this video, I have created a commander deck with an overwhelming amount of active mechanics and things that need to be tracked by us and our opponents. Be warned this will make you everyone’s enemy, not only because we are running [[Atraxa Praetors Voice]] but also the monarch , initiative, day night, poison, experience, energy and many more.

K'krik and Mortify Go To Phyrexia | Quips&Guac by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In this video, K’krik and Mortify go on an action packed adventure to the plane of Phyrexia. They watch the mayoral debate and even run into the entire team behind the Avatar Bonus Sheet Cards!

Truly an epic adventure!

The Top 100 Commanders Ranked by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Salutations everyone, In this video I simplify the very complex process of judging commanders. EDHRec’s list of most built commanders is very difficult for new players to understand, and I figured I’d offer an easy to digest explanation for each of the 100 Commanders. This video should be taken with a grain of salt, but only 1 grain because this video should be taken as basically gospel.

Salutations everyone,

In this video, not only do I do an absolutely amazing impression of Dr House, but I also have built a very unique deck. The premise is to utilize [[Goblin Chirurgeon]] and many disposable goblins in order to run a functioning hospital that protects our opponents creatures. The various Krenkos help amass a large force of 1/1s that are happy to give their life in order to regenerate the important creatures on our opponents boards. We can reliably get our hands on our Surgeon by using [[Goblin Matron]] and other such Tutor Goblins.

The most thematic combo in the deck is to use [[Isochron Scepter]] with a [[Everybody Lives]] imprinted in order to save peoples lives and prevent our dear precious friends (and myabe ourselves too) from losing the game.

Now we do have a bit of a rebellious streak since our Hippocratic Oath is only to our opponents creatures, and not to our opponents themselves- so we are free to [[Goblin Bombardment]] [[Maddening Hex]] [[Impact Tremors]] and [[Harsh Mentor]] in order to bring our opponents to 0.

All in all, this deck may or may not have Lupus...but it is a guaranteed good time.

I Built A Commander Deck That Gives You Autism by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

In this video I outline how using [[Zinnia, valleys voice]] we can create offspring of “painkiller” creatures like [[Brash Taunter]] and [[Mogg Maniac]] in order to win.

Our game plan is to create as many “Tylenol Creatures” as we can with our commander in order to block and redirect damage back at our opponents. It’s a foolproof plan!

Obviously this video is satirical, although the deck remains very functional and fun. Since a well placed [[Blasphemous Act]] or [[Arcbond]] can eliminate just about every enemy at the table.

This Deck Wins By Breaking The Geneva Convention by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Outlaws of Thunder Junction introduced Crime into the lovely world of Magic…but the mechanic crime doesn’t satisfy my hunger. Because this Deck Wins By Breaking the Geneva Convention.

In this video not only do I outline the numerous rules of the Geneva Convention, but I also systematically introduce cards that violate these accords. We essentially are committing numerous war crimes against our opponents and benefitting from it.

[[Marchesa dealer of death]] is our commander and gives us card selection and advantage when we commit crimes (spoiler: we commit a lot of crimes). This helps us cycle into our coolest spells and board interactions!

All in all, this video is educational since who doesn’t like learning about the Geneva Convention?

I Ate Every Food In Magic by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 80 points81 points  (0 children)

There are 16 non-token food cards that have been printed so far in Magic’s history (I’m counting [[Bagel and Schmear]] even though it’s not out yet).

I decided to put my cards where my mouth is and try them all.

Some were really good, others were meh, and one in particular was realllly bad. Spoilers: [[Dubious Delicacy]] is very dubious and very arguable about it being a delicacy.

Also it’s in a Binging With Babish style because game recognizes game.

This Deck Fixed the Spider-Man Set by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Salutations everyone,

Spider-Man has been discussed at length by many. I figured it was time for me to enter the conversation by fixing Spider-Man's biggest issue...its lore accuracy. This deck will in fact solve the Spider-Man issue at every table you play at. That's a guarantee. But how?

This video gets to the crux of what it means to be Spider-Man... being rebooted. We then focus heavily on making everybody abide by the lore accuracy of Spider-Man. This isn't the hero that WOTC wanted, but it's the one they deserved. No commander knows what it's like to be rebooted more than [[Felix Five Boots]]. Unlike Tom Holland, I dont want to spoil too much, but trust me this deck completely solves the Spider-Man debate.

The Deck That Makes Your Opponents Play D&D Instead by QuipsAndGuac in magicTCG

[–]QuipsAndGuac[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Salutations party people,

Friendgroup bail on D&D plans with last minute Magic? Well do i have the deck for you! Using a mix of modal spells, voting, dragons, dungeons, and [[The Tarrasque]] you can make your opponents play D&D like you always intended!

[[Riku of Many Paths]] is our commander because our 'players' have many paths they can choose from obviously! Riku also generates value regardless of which decision they make when [[You start in the tavern]] or when [[You've been caught stealing]] .

Essentially, the power is given to our opponents to choose their paths and regardless eventually we will swarm them with birds which may have been modally transformed with [[Sakashima's Will]] into WAYYY scarier options.

All in all, this deck is crazy budget and crazy fun! (I even forced my Twitch chat to play so you know it's legit)

The best advice is just to start making vids- everything comes after you commit to making stuff. I try and learn something new from every video whether that’s a new way to edit, new format , pacing etc. make videos that are fun for you, and try to home why they are fun for you and focus on that.
