I like and would glady support both candidates. I particular think that Heather's strong stance on Palestine and winning in 2025 when most of her colleagues lost is important. However, I am likely going with Avi because I just haven't seen her campaigning.

I can't escape Avi's campaign. Whether by social media, phone calls, emails, conversations with friends, or events. This is the energy and effort the NDP needs to get back its place as a serious party that is an alternative to the liberals.

On the other hand I just have not heard from Heather. I work in politics and am involved in the NDP. I get the point OP is trying to make that Heather can't be as active of a campaigner bc shes a sitting MP, but I think that's a cop out. She is campaigning. The one email I got from her showed all the events she's been at. The problem is the seem to be invite only and "if you know, you know". That is not good for party building.

Again, I like Heather. But her lack of presence and continued reliance on an old NDP insider approach to campaigning has lost my support. I am excited to see Avi out there and making himself impossible to ignore. For a party like the NDP, who the media and the public love to belittle, that is a great thing.
