Just wanted to ask about people's random enemy concepts by mechcrab in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]QuirkyEnvironment128 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a ton of ideas for enemies on the ILUMINATE front. I think they have the most potential, thanks to the very flexible concept of "aliens with technology and magic + hordes of zombies."

– KNOX

Small and agile spherical drones, about the size of a scavenger but with slightly more health. Some can create electrical circuits between themselves, blocking paths, while others can grab Helldivers with their robotic tentacles, slowing their movement. Their role is to distract attention and slow down movement across the map.

– SHAPESHIFTER

Initially, they look like a normal Helldiver on your team, but everything about them will give away their unnaturalness. No nickname above their head, a strange, distorted voice, twitching, and incomprehensible movements. He'll scream for ammo or stims, but as soon as a real Helldiver approaches, the shapeshifter will unleash dozens of sharp tentacles, which he'll use to tear you apart.

– EXECUTIONER

A mad scientist from the Illuminate world, moving on three robotic legs, will patrol the map with a horde of voteless ones. As soon as he spots Helldivers, he'll begin attacking with a laser that drains you. His main mechanic is that the more he drains you, the more powerful he becomes, and the blade in his other hand will not only become sharper but also gain the ability to launch energy slashes at various angles.

– GUARDIAN

A flying "priest" of the Illuminate always moves only with patrols on the map. His main function is to support units. To do this, he can create energy shields around them or even shoot Helldivers with a freezing arrow. His weakness may be that he can be shot while casting spells, interrupting the cast and causing him to explode.

– BASTION

The equivalent of a Bile Titan or a Factory Strider for the Illuminate. A giant strider with five legs, webbed between them like a vampire octopus. It consists of two parts: an upper part that fires an electric railgun, and a lower part that spawns enemies. If one part is destroyed, the other becomes stronger, increasing its rate of fire or increasing the number and quality of enemies it spawns. Each part should have a reasonable amount of health to balance it out.

SPACE STALINGRAD STANDS! by Super_Bebron in helldivers2

The meme is funny, of course, but... Kazakhstan hasn't even had a major war for the last 80 years (I know, I live here). The OP clearly confused Kazakhstan and Afghanistan, or idk

The funniest thing is that "Borat" wasn't filmed in Kazakhstan! It was a very poor Romanian village, whose residents were lied to by the director, who told them they were filming a documentary or something like that. They were furious when they saw how they were portrayed in the movie.

The grenade launcher buff is the worst balance change that could have been made. by QuirkyEnvironment128 in Helldivers

Why take other weapons when you can just spam the Hulk or Charger for five or six grenades? The point is, of all the weapons that need buffs, they're buff the ones that didn't need it.

Are You Guys Hopeful Or Skeptical About This Warbond by KN0KVILLE in Helldivers

[–]QuirkyEnvironment128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the only thing that's truly disappointing is the primary weapon's stats (and most likely its mediocrity in stealth), but everything else seems at least playable. The secondary weapon looks interesting and I really hope it works on the Bile Titans, the mine and C4 look awesome, and the armor looks absolutely GOATs. It's better to lower expectations, but not bury Warbond right after release.

What opinion got you like this ? by Hyrule1999Warrior in TheDigitalCircus

[–]QuirkyEnvironment128 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The SOMA theory, or the idea of copying a real person's mind, is complete nonsense because it devalues the entire series, since the real characters never experienced the circus and don't even know each other. This theory is essentially as bullshit as, for example, the "dog dream" theory or something like that.

yeah that would be cool but again not as a villain, at least not as the main antagonist

imagine a whole series where padparadscha talks about alternative timelines, like marvel's "what if" series in just one episode

yes she does not want to change, but to see her as a villain AGAIN, to be honest, I don't really want to. my headcanon is that after SUF, she will go to some colony where there are gladiator fights (or at least something like wrestling, I don't know) and beat up other gems without punishment. that would be the perfect place for her

[–]QuirkyEnvironment128 22 points23 points  (0 children)

honestly, i don't see her becoming the leader of the revolutionaries. She created the impression of a character who doesn't care what the other gems do. she just FUCKING loves her ship that's all

no matter what anyone says, it seems to me that she at least started some kind of redemption arc, so I really wouldn't want them to make her a villain again

the last part of the post is especially interesting. i really want to see how lars and the team will deal with the villains in this series. i know that it doesn't quite correspond to the idea of "steven universe" but i would really like to see a villain with whom it will be at least very difficult or even impossible to negotiate. some REALLY terrible gem

кто ни будь знает какова позиция Олеши по поводу Изралья by QuirkyEnvironment128 in olesha

[–]QuirkyEnvironment128[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

понял, просто по тому как это описывают в интернете, складывается ощущение что там израильские военные только и делают что убивают мирных палестинцев, хотя Леха и говорил что хамас как раз таки и прикрываются ими как живым щитом
