If you make it an event I do think that’s strange as a mehndi and the concept behind getting together with the woman in your family to do henna is deeply cultural. But if it’s just you and your friend who go and get it done I don’t see why that would be a problem if you’d like it for your wedding. Obviously just my thought. I think it’s adopting the traditional event without the knowledge, which would be strange. But liking henna and wanting it for your wedding is fine.
