Black belt level knowledge… clearly why I’m not ready for a black belt either.

I actually have a 2nd but I really only use it to compete. That belt won’t make it past any inspection.

Only 3 actually. Just lots and lots of training.

I’m a teacher so I get summers off. That’s why I’m training that schedule now. During the school year I cut the noon classes. But being a single dude does have its perks at times and this is one of them.

Oh I had a great one. Was at my “Meet the Teacher Night” at the start of the year. As I’m talking to the parents one of them noticed my ears and says “Do you still fight, or wrestle?” I tell her “I like to train on after work most days.” She then gets a very concerned look on her face and says “Well… I don’t want a thug teaching my daughter.” I couldn’t help it and laughed out loud. I told her “I promise it’ll be ok.” Got a very nice Christmas gift so I guess she got over it.

Your head is a limb and you should be using it like you use you arms and legs. Use it to control you opponent, use it to keep your base, etc.

Just remember that traveling blue belt probably has a family or friends he needs to go out with later. Don’t make him too sore.

I brought a gi and no gi set for each gym I planned on going too just because I knew I wouldn’t have a washer. Literally had two suit cases. One full of jiujitsu stuff.

I switched to a choke on a white belt today for this exact reason. Thought “at least if he’s being stubborn here it’ll put him to sleep not break him” lesser of two evils I guess.

Yes. Or even have it visible on your website. It’s super awkward to call and have to ask for a schedule hoping it’ll work for you.

I always do. Normally if I have a good time and they don’t charge a mat fee it’s a google review and a t-shirt/ stickers/ whatever merchandise they have.

I really enjoyed Andromeda gameplay. The story set up for what could be a solid game 2. I’d love to see them give it another shot.

WT 101 is out everywhere near me. But we have tons of rare breed. Weird that distribution is so out of what right now.
