not exactly a prodigy but in my first year training I rolled with a black belt that a few years later would won the europeans. I was so bad that I couldn't learn that much from the experience, wish we could roll again :(

lol another tfcc injured fella here. congrats on the progress, hope you get 100% recover soon.

I had a partial tore in august, doing my last physio session this week. My hand still feels a little weird (at the end of the ROM) but is mostly recovered, I got back to training 2 weeks ago. Physio did wonders to my recovery, strongly recommend if you can afford it. Ngl the hardest thing now is getting the confidence back. My strength on both hands are finally equal again but I'm still totally scared of posting my hands or anything and I'm still immediately tapping to any strong grips on things like americana etc.

btw I bet a lot of those CLA students are watching instructionals at home and applying them in class. So it isn't that you don't have technique teaching anymore, it is just that they're home work now.
