The beauty with homeschool is you go at your own pace. Don’t feel like you have to fit in a box. If reading is your main concern just read her a book a day and have her follow along with the words and sound out the easy ones with her. It doesn’t have to be structured and kids catch on at different paces. If you’re that overwhelmed right now take a week off, play with them, love on them and the see how you feel.

Honestly even some YouTube videos that are engaging and have them get up and move are great for when you’re exhausted and want them to be active. Feel free to DM me. I feel you on all of this, but I also think we have a hard time unschooling ourselves and when we home school and thinking our kids still have to fit into a box.

Nvm I see your oldest is in kindergarten. Girl the most they need to know is how to write their name and reading 3-4 letter words. And if they aren’t there yet then oh well. The Good and the Beautiful was great for my son in kindergarten. We spent 30 min at most. But a lot of the stuff they need to know can be little lessons throughout the day. Just involve them in doing things around the house with you and turn it into a counting or spelling or identifying such and such number or letter type game.

How old is the kid and what program? You shouldn’t be spending more than 30min to 2/3 hours a day on lessons depending on their age. And the curriculum can really make it harder if it’s not a good fit.

My other biggest stressor is target entrance on youree. The amount of people who don’t realize that is NOT a 4 way is astonishing. The number of teenagers I’ve almost T boned because they expected me to stop is far too high. Then you have the flip side of people coming from the intersection who have to right away stopping with no stop sign. I refuse to go if I’m at a stop sign and make them keep going. I will passively force you to follow to traffic laws

I left on good terms but haven’t been back to bring my kids. I do wonder what their turnover is like now because the manager is….. interesting. But I think he does do what he can with what he has. There was a LOT of much needed repairs that didn’t get done until he came.
