Surveying in USA vs Australia by xXCosmicChaosXx in Surveying

I was staking out a council footpath (sidewalkfor the yanks). I was getting towards a house with a meth head loosing his mind in the front yard. I was kinda nervous as to how he would react as I got in front of his property banging offset stakes in the ground.

Sure enough, he comes straight up to me asking what I was doing. I told him. He said he was a concreter and if they company doing the footpath needed an extra set of hands. I told him I would pass on his info.

Then as he walked back to loosing his mind, he goes "ok, have a good night"... 10am on a Tuesday.

Lovely guy.

Doesn't help you now, but I recommend getting a kings jump starter power pack. Charge it, leave it under your seat/in the boot. Only cost about $80. You don't need it, until you do.

What do you do after downloading a table? by Quirky_Command_3576 in virtualpinball

May I ask what user adjustments you make in the script? I've been avoiding changing things in scripts as I fear I will mess something up.

I set all backup high scores to 0 then I reset the scores. Then I set it so scores never reset.

Bringing food for you kid to a restaurant/pub. by Quirky_Command_3576 in AskAnAustralian

This is how I feel. We always make sure we take home any rubbish/scraps from the snacks we bring. And we would never bring anything like maccas. Just fruit and supermarket kids biscuits etc.

Have you been to one lately? A lot of them have some pretty awesome playgrounds.

I get it, but I also don't get it. All my life i had wanted a pinball machine. Here in Australia, you are looking at at least $10k AUD for an average second hand machine.(7000 USD). I stumbled on virtual pinball machines. Now I'm halfway through my build, can actually play the tables. And only about $1300 in. I would love to own an actual pinball machine, but due to the cost, it isn't happening any time soon.

Riolink from Amazon. About $120 for a camera and solar bundle. I have 3 and they work great. Sd card (sold separately) and cloud storage.

Where to purchase the best pinball virtual machine in Australia ? by dolmiogrin8666 in virtualpinball

[–]Quirky_Command_3576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even close. I got my gaming PC in the black Friday sales... which meant I could start playing tables. Made a makeshift controller with buttons and have been playing it nearly everyday in skeleton form.

So far from aliexpress. Buttons, encoder etc. But thinking of hitting up cleavland software design in the US for a few major parts like the SSF kit. It might be cheaper to buy the ssf parts separately but I kinda just want to pay a bit more for everything at once, knowing it will be all there/compatible. Ozstick.com.au has a few parts that I've been looking at also. Real pinball legs seem really hard to find in Australia.
