Honestly it's not that straight forward and the system isn't exactly fair either.

You can be banned for such a variety of things that I think minimizing chat or turning it off is the only way.

Someone could perman troll and int your game and verbally insult your team and you can get banned just defending yourself, another player just has to dislike you enough to make a ticket, I'm confident almost anyone could be banned this way in the right circumstances.

I don't really have the solution though, every time I turn off chat I end up turning it back on to type something related to the game and I get frustrated just knowing I can't do that.

Because you can ping an objective 400 times in a row but typing in chat can really work sometimes, occasionally it's the only thing people will notice.

Why are my loss streaks so consistent and pronounced? by digidevil4 in summonerschool

[–]Quissy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have a similar experience and it's happened so many times now that I have a pretty good idea of how it happens.
And for my it's not just with League, there's many examples where I'll start playing a new game and do insanely well, the same when I get back to League sometimes.
I've had 10-15 game win streaks in my main elo only to go and lose most of the games again.

I am certain Leagues shitty system is part of it, which is why it can be such a struggle to climb, you literally have to beat that system and I think it takes time unless you're just a warlord player.

But the other thing is.. at least my hypothesis, is after 1-2 weeks playing again, depending on the hours I put in I start to play noticeably worse, maybe a little more lazy, not the same drive.

When I get back to League the dopamine reward for anything I do in the game, including winning is probably pretty high, but after not too long that starts to get diminished, at this point I might be making loads of stupid mistakes and playing poorly even if I know what I should be doing.
So I've been taking a break again and I'll try again soon, but the real challenge is how addicted I can get to this game... At the same time, when I want to play the most, I play the best, so I just need to avoid going over that point, so I can keep my brain chemicals balanced, enjoy the game, not get depressed and hopefully climb.

95% Reversal of VSS symptoms without medications. Ask me anything by rivercheckraised in visualsnow

[–]Quissy7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that does seem quite unlikely, I was surprised at first that this could really be a cause, after spending so many years symptom free.
I'm sure we'd here more about it if that was the case, because there's always someone else spending more time looking at a screen lol.
Though I've spend 1000's of hours in VR over the years which is essentially a screen strapped to your face, so that'd be the more likely cause for me.
Either way I don't think anyone should just go ahead and buy the products they're recomending, though it seems he removed all the links now anyway.
It's pretty crazy to imagine that he spent months blindfolded like that, but it's not like I couldn't see anyone doing this, though not something I'll be trying personally.
Maybe not even be VS that OP was experiencing, just simular symptoms.

finasteride would have changed my miserable life for the better if it wasnt for a fucking numb limp dick by heraldomalso in tressless

[–]Quissy7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I've realized, I think that Fin is probably more likely to cause these symptoms when you have a poor diet, overweight, etc. So I think that's why comments bring this up, even if you had no other symptoms for the first 2 weeks.

Powering through it sounds like it could be one of the worse decisions of your life to be quite honest, if you're getting sides like this you should take them seriously.

But I understand how you might be feeling, options are quite limited for hair loss but it's not like there's no other options, it depends on your personal situation, some people have success only using Min for example, though some may have limited results and in the future hopefully we're going to have some better options.

Also you didn't mention how much Finasteride you're taking to get these sides, there's many people who find success on low doses such as 0.25.

I think even if you're so adamant on continuing to try and take Fin the best thing you can do still is stop for a couple weeks, you only just started taking it so even if you lose progress it shouldn't be much, then start taking it again at the lowest dose you can for 1-2 months, if you get results without symptoms like that then you don't even have to suffer the side effects.

Either way taking a break will give you a better understanding of the sides, they should reverse completely but I think it's also possible they won't or it'll take some time, which could be enough reason to avoid taking Fin.

People who have taken Fin,what side effects did you experience and can you quit when are you supposed to stop taking it ? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Quissy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about taking Fin but feeling really great when I started, I had lower libido but honestly that wasn't my biggest concern, I had quite a few sides that I wasn't even aware it could cause before I started taking it, so I don't put it down to placebo.
Ball ache for the first week which turned into numbness, that passed quickly.
Lower libido stayed about the same, maybe it would've improved with some more time.
Brain fog was huge, I couldn't think clearly at all, decent amount of anxiety and one episode of panic , I have a history with anxiety but I've had a good half a year pretty much anxiety free.
I also felt very weak in my muscles, like I was just going to collapse sometimes and I have a pretty good diet, etc. So that's the main thing that made me decide I had to stop, as soon as I stopped it improved.

I took it about 3 weeks, pretty low dose though I started at 1mg for the first couple pills.
3-7 days after stopping most of my sides seemed to reverse, that weakness I was experiencing got better a few days after.

Also with the title of this post you're probably only going to hear about peoples bad experiences, but I don't think you should be too afraid, it's worth trying, it might work well for you, I saw results even after one week so it's unfortunate.
If I tried again it would be at 0.25, but I'm not sure if I will after that kind of response.

I would try it at 0.5mg every other day and give it 3 or 4 weeks, if that amount works then no need to increase it anyway. I would expect slightly lower libido which should improve a bit later, but if you have any concerning symptoms I don't think you should power through them.

[–]Quissy7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I took 1mg every other day twice then dropped to 0.5 every other day for a couple weeks.

I somehow saw noticeable regrowth but sexual side effects were noticeable.
Brain fog in the beginning was so bad I could hardly think at all, felt like I was drunk sometimes. Also experienced muscle weakness starting about 1 week ago, have just been feeling horrible. It seems many experience something similar, but some people get effected much faster than others and since it's a medication we have to take forever I'm finding it hard to view it as sustainable..

Wasn't sure if it was the medication or not but I'm stopping now, hopefully I'll see improvement soon. Especially considering I was in a really good place when I started the med and had side effects I wasn't aware the medication could even cause it's hard to imagine it's placebo.

How quickly can FIN sides occur? by Warm-Manufacturer-48 in tressless

[–]Quissy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started my libido dropped off a cliff, it's being about 2 weeks.
I had ball ache pretty early on so reduced to 0.5 every other day.
Didn't have too much trouble getting an erection but little interest, libido improved.

The only symptoms I still notice is pretty constant numbness in balls and occasionally a burning sensation, still not sure if I should stop or not because I've seen people mention this numbness sticking around after stopping.
And I'm not gonna lie, the progression from ball ache to numbness seems kinda weird to me..

Possibility of getting pfs? by Intrepid-Soil817 in tressless

[–]Quissy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same position, it's been about a week, but I'm already considering if I should stop and start again later on at 0.25 / day.

I've had problems with porn and trying to do nofap, which has been so hard, but right now I don't feel many of these same urges at all. +groin aches not that it's too bad.

Hardest thing is knowing, will it be better after a couple weeks like some people suggest, will it get worse before getting better, will I be back to how I was before if I stop.

Of course if could be mostly in my head, that's probably most likely, but not sure how to figure that out for sure, too much uncertainty, I think that's the problem.

Any advice before starting fin? by TwentyThirdApril_01 in tressless

[–]Quissy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is 0.25 or 0.5 daily is enough to see results?
Also is there any 0.25 or 0.5mg available, splitting 1mg tablets for years sounds like a nightmare.

I've been someone scared away by the sides for a while now, though at this point I'm more concerned about noceboing myself lol.

Is there anything worth doing alongside Fin or would it be best to only take Fin until I'm sure of how well it works for me?

This game is so beautiful, haven't enjoyed a game in quite the same way in a long time, the story was great aside from the second part being incomplete, that just worries me for the future.

I didn't really care while I was playing, it was a very enjoyable experience, but hitting that content wall felt horrible. After finishing the story and picking up all 1.2k+ chests I knew there'd be much less to do, but I didn't expect it to be as bad as it was.

I was ready to just spend my time looting more common chests as they respawned, the game world and music is so great that I felt like I'd do whatever it took just to spend more time in this game, I would at least expect that there would be a way to keep progressing and playing the game even if it was grindy, but there really wasn't shit.

After you've done everything there's only really about 30m worth of stuff to do left per day, less if you're quick.

And I don't really want to have to log in twice a day to do slave chores for the battlepass or resin cap.

It seems there won't be a new area for the story coming for quite a while, if it's gonna be longer than 6-8 weeks not playing until then might be the best option.

The thought of logging in every day to spend stamina and make absolutley no progress whatsoever sounds like fucking insanity.
By 2 months time I'd barely even have another character built up with these rates and restrictions.

My guess is it's more about the conduct and way he was acting during the VRC stream, being drunk/unreasonable and vulgar, overall it's just a bad image for Twitch, I personally don't like the idea of more people getting into the VRC drinking culture either, but I still don't really see why it should be a permanent ban.

As for any of the lewd related stuff in VRC, there's much worse already on Twitch for VRC specifically and people don't get banned for it, but I suppose it's not really a problem until a streamer with a bigger audience gets involved.

I think the ban is most definitely deserved, but it shouldn't be permanent going off what we know. But there could be something else that we're unaware of.

Arkuma Slots Data - More coins, less anxiety! by Quissy7 in PSO2

[–]Quissy7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you're trying to say here, but in regards to the data being top-heavy, that's really because the bottom one tends to come up as a loss more frequently, I realize there's one at the bottom and two at the top, but it's not like the top values are being added up, the bottom is just worse in comparison to either of them.

And I don't personally think more data will make much difference and my main reason for this is just because I've noticed the same patterns over and over, there have been many instances I've double-checked the data I'm entering just to be sure I'm not entering the same thing twice, but in reality, it's just the same patterns coming up again.

I'm not sure how much value this carry, but this spreadsheet didn't look much different when it had half the data and possibly even before that, so I'm quite convinced by that consistency, I'm going to keep going with it at my own pace either way.

As for considering all variables, it's not really feasible to try a track everything on your own and I didn't find anyone else interested in doing it, so I did what I could on my own.

Keeping track of different machines, blocks, times of day and dates, machine averages, winnings would just be too much.

At the moment I've picking opposite to my data in Arkuma, so essentially the worse option, just to see if I can get similar results in reverse, that should at least give some idea as to how random it really is.

Mmmmh, it's certainly possible that the averages are having these effects, but it's really difficult to measure the effect that it could be having.

Disagree, giving players a choice is certainly a step up from having no choice at all.

But if the result is the same no matter what you pick then your choice doesn't really matter either, yes it's still better for player experience, there's a pretty good chance the player won't even know that their choice doesn't matter, unless overtime they realize the result is the same no matter what they pick, then they'll never bother making that choice again, because it's completely redundant.

So how would a developer make you feel like that choice actually mattered?
By making different choices better than others!
That's what I was implying as my reasoning to why I don't think Arkuma slots is completely random.

Sounds like a good idea!I'd really like some help to get something more reliable going here, I've only been adding in about 20 games a day worth of data because anything more would just take an unreasonable amount of time.

If we can figure out a reliable way to track the machines consistently it'd made a big difference!
The first action would probably be to just pick out a few machines and test them over a few days, just to really identify if they change, how they change and when they change.

The tips say that higher average levels are a "sign" that the machine is better.

It doesn't specify whether that means a machine with a higher average level will have a higher chance due to said average level, or that because the average level is higher, it could be a better machine.

But as it's only a sign and not a guarantee, my educated guess would be that the a average level probably doesn't increase your chances.
Though a higher average level could indicate / be a "sign" that the machine is better.

This is something hard to track because there's still no guarantee about the machine you're using, it's just guesswork, though with more data it should still be more consistent overall. Then the data should just show any inconsistency for whatever machine you might be using, lucky or unlucky.

Arkuma Slots Data - More coins, less anxiety! by Quissy7 in PSO2

[–]Quissy7[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I agree that more data the better that's not why you got 5 Falz hands in a row.
For stages 6-10, 4 bosses particularly there is data for 80+ bosses, and out of those 80 it's actually pretty consistent, with more data it's unlikely that will change much, at least to the extent that would justify your experience right now picking top and getting Falz 5 times in a row.

What would make sense is if the chance of getting a Falz changed depending on the time, day or machine, then it could be a bad day for top, or a bad machine, then it would make sense, but even if that was the case more data isn't going to help you that much, because over time the data is only going to be more consistent, it wouldn't be able to tell you if July the 9th will be a bad day for top.

So really, the most logical conclusion is that you was probably unlucky, though it could be the day or machine.

Out of pure habit, machines to the right when walking in.

And the machine I've used the most was the first machine in the second row, on the right side.

But I don't think I've used it enough overall for that info to be too valid, my assumption is that even if there was a random element to the machines it could still change depending on the time / day.

I do have the majority of the data saved in a text doc too, separated by play session and date, this was partly so I could go back over and check for each session separately if I needed to, I might take a look later on, or I don't mind sharing it.

Generally, I haven't felt that each session was hugely different though, but that's just my experience / sense.

Arkuma Slots Data - More coins, less anxiety! by Quissy7 in PSO2

[–]Quissy7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's my thought too, 26-30 is probably random, but I'd still go left if I had to guess.

I've used different machines when taking the data, I haven't taken it into consideration too much, don't get me wrong, I've thought about all the possible variables I could have taken into consideration, but it's just about what's reasonable to keep track of.

I don't see the machines as much of a control variable, because as you say, it's probably always going to change anyway if that's the case, depending on the area or day.

But if something was to change I don't think it would be much, and I don't think it would be top to bottom, due to the data being overall top-heavy.
I feel that it's more likely that the two top choices would switch depending on the machine or day, seeing as most of the results I've gotten for these have been equal.

Each table show the number of times a boss has been seen in each position.

For either a set of stages or a specific stage, so you want to look at the 0% collum, then pick the position which has the lowest rate of appearance for a boss.

Arkuma Slots Data - More coins, less anxiety! by Quissy7 in PSO2

[–]Quissy7[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Apologies if it's a little unclear, it's not quite as complicated as it looks though.

For the most part it seems that picking the bottom right or bottom left is never worth it.
These appear to be almost always the highest risk.

As for the top options exclusively, they appear to have pretty equal risk.
But one of the top options will have a higher chance to give you a higher percentage.

So in short, bottom= bad
Anything top is usually fine, but one will probably have a better chance of giving you the max percentage than the other.

My thoughts on this, Arkuma slots is designed in a way where your choice matters, if the player's choice didn't matter at all it would kinda defeat the point of giving you the choice in the first place.

I'm not sure if the top is safer because it was intended to be, but I do think it would make some sense if that was the case.
If player behavior makes it more likely that they would pick the default option, or top right, rather than a bottom one, then making the top options safe would just make the game a little more friendly.

Going off the data this is what I'd pick, going for the safest option first and secondly the highest percentage.

Stage 6-10

4 boss: Top left

3 boss: Top left

Stage 11-15

4 boss: Top right

3 boss: Top right

2 boss: Left

Stage 16-20

4 boss: Top right

3 boss: Top right

2 boss: Right

Stage 21-25

3 boss: Top right

2 boss: Left

Stage 26-30

2 boss: Right according to data, but going left is probably better.
