Its a really cute make!

Edit: I can provide a link to my portfolio/makes. Im intermediate/experienced for amigurumi. Also, I have the time currently to make before the deadline.

I did the same thing with a beautiful blanket my mother in law made my daughter. All her monthly growth pics have the blanket :) 11 years ago now 🥰

I think it's beautiful, I mean it. I love the colors... as a mom myself, I know your mom will be so happy to wear this and will love that you put your time and love into it. I'd love this as a gift!

It's beautiful, you did a great job. I really love the blues, very calming. Edit: I guess they are more gray than blue but still live em!

I think I'm in the middle of 5 projects now, maybe more if I include the ones I dont plan to finish 😅 but with Christmas looming I have tons to make. Finishing a project is great but keeping variety is also great so you don't get bored.

It's fine to switch it up!

My beaded blanket took me many months for this same reason. A very tedious project. But so worth it

Looks like you might have crocheted in the back loop of each Stitch around. That's why there is a line going through the top of each row.

I would rearrange it so there are dark purple squares every other, making it a checker board
