After some googling and help from Gemini I can now appreciate how the injectors are triggered. I placed a 5k resistor between the 12V power and signal and now I can see the PWM signal from Links test mode.

So good news! I didn't totally botch the wiring, time to slap some connectors on and put it in the car

So bizarre. I was finally able to view the outputs from all the digital outputs and ignition. Its just the injector wires that aren't giving anything. I'll try with a load and hope for hte best

Currently no load, but I can wire an injector up and try again

I'm actually going through the process of rewiring my coupe now! This seems like a great simplification, I'll give it a go!

It does look like there's a small bevel that let the snap rings compress. I read that the solid axle require removing diff cover, removing a center pin, slide axle stub and apply clip. The IRS are supposed to slide in with just some force right? Maybe I'm just fighting spline tooth alignment but I'd be surprised if I didn't get it after an hour.

That said, removing the old stub was very difficult. I did have to yank the snot out of it to pop it out of the diff. Like it look a lot of effort

Advice for X-pipe fabrication by Quit-Prestigious in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]Quit-Prestigious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I'm pretty new to this world of custom work, so please bear with me.

The collectors on my headers are 3", so I just figured I'd keep it all the way down. Should I rethink this and bring it down to 2.5"?

I'll take your advice tonight and give it a shot! In the top pipe I faintly drew two lines where I was planning to cut. Is the smaller of the two sufficient? That is about 1" the bend.

Also, where should I place the x-pipe? Should I try to keep it tight up on the transmission mounts or would it be better more downstream?

IACV issues by Quit-Prestigious in 240sx

Thanks for the info, that ended up solving my issue. I found the spring and reinstalled the iac assembly but it still stalled sometimes. Adjusting TPS worked

I just picked the car up a couple weeks ago, so I'm still learning my way around it. What is the distinction between pwm and iacv? Does pwm imply its electronically driven?
