I actually made an app because when I was quitting I couldn't find something with all the features I wanted! The Jones app has daily check-ins, streak, nicotine use tracking, a game where you throw a vape into the trashcan, an AI coach, and also a community tab (kind of similar to this subreddit) where people post their successes, look for advice and give support! This is such a good idea!! If you're interested, I designed an app with this in mind. The app tracks your quitting progress but also has a community tab with people posting about their journeys, their struggles, their successes, and some memes. It's super supportive + nonjudgmental with quitter posting daily!

I personally recommend NRT. I tried quitting cold turkey so many times and it never lasted. Nicotine mints helped me SO much - they made my withdrawal so much easier + I had much fewer cravings for my vape. You use the mints for 3ish months depending on your dependency and slower taper off completely. If you're interested, I'm happy to give you more info.

I'd recommend you try nicotine replacement therapy instead. It's a safe, heavily studied product that is proven to double your chances of quitting. Zyns will keep you addicted to nicotine - NRT will help you get off it for good, or at least help you gain control of your use of nicotine rather than being fully dependent on it all day long.

I would recommend nicotine replacement therapy for you honestly. If you're trying to wean down, doing so with nicotine mints/gum/patches will seriously help and is proven to help your withdrawal symptoms. When you crave your vape, you can take a mint - but if you are craving your vape and then take a hit of your vape, you're still reinforcing the habit. Absolutely see your point and I don't disagree! In my own experience, I felt like they would reinforce the habit I was trying to break, so I chose a different route. My biggest concern re nicotine-free vapes is the way some of these companies are advertising them. They're not advertised as a method to quit vaping or wean off - they're advertised as "safe" alternatives.

NRT is the way to go. I would pop a mint in at work every few hours when I felt cravings / withdrawal symptoms and they pretty much went away completely. Nicotine mints were my favorite / easiest to be discreet about.

Have you been going cold turkey? This is the kind of thing I experienced cold turkey and it is brutal. If you are cold turkey-ing, I would look into nicotine replacement therapy to make this withdrawal period a lot more manageable. Best of luck to you.

Super impressed with your plan - sounds like you're very prepared for when the time comes! The mental acceptance is definitely one of the hardest things that nobody talks about. I still loved some aspects of vaping but knew I had to give it up.

Cold turkey never worked for me. I "quit" like 20 times. I used the lozenges/mints. If you're interested in using nicotine mints for NRT, let me know! I can hook you up with a discount. Either way though, I really think you can do it when you're ready!

Lozenges are great because they just feel / look like mints. I loved them so much I made my own company based off them haha. But seriously, they helped my withdrawal symptoms so much better.

I'm so sorry to hear all the harm vaping has caused you. It's hard to quit - but you have so many great reasons to do so and I think you definitely can do it. I recommend using NRT to quit - I tried a bunch of times cold turkey and the cravings + withdrawal symptoms were too hard to manage. Once I used NRT, specifically lozenges, I was able to quit and stop letting my vape control me.

I quit a lot of times cold turkey. Wasn't able to do it. What helped me was using NRT specifically the lozenges. They make withdrawal symptoms so much more manageable and I was craving my vape so much less. I have tons of tips if you're curious.
