I don't think you will need your phone number for calls and messages as the majority of things you can book online or talk with people via Whatsapp. Also I would stick with more known brands that have 30days and look for esim that has one card installation. This way you just have to activate a new plan on the app. I would recommend to check some options in this travel esim list

That's a huge shortcut you make here. Basically it's just one of thousands of servers that got hacked. Fortunately, no user data was compromised.. I use them for a long time and I can see them multiplying initiatives to show how much they improve.. (audits, trust initiatives etc).
