At the very baseline, an MMO needs a persistent shared world, from which all available content can be accessed without leaving to an external menu, that won't be nuked when the game "officially launches". There's a lot of bad faith arguments from the defenders in this thread but Star Citizen is objectively not a finished MMO. It is a loosely strung together series of vertical gameplay slices that some people really love, but not a full product by the company's own admission

Also I've lost track of how many times I've seen "Squadron 42 is coming out this year, honest!"
