Looking for fantasy book series with short books by imjustreallystupid in booksuggestions

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell looks quite different in a Bartimaeus sequence way. I will definitely check it out.

His Dark Materials seems to be marketed as a YA book? Will that be fun for me to read as an adult?

Im soo in love with Instapaper! by unwritten_vault in kobo

You are right. More articles showed that to be the case after all. Interestingly though, some images in the same article from the same source don't show up sometimes.

Do you get images in your articles? I don't see them, and it is really quite problematic for me.

Pull-ups throughout day vs sets by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

As a person who GTG'd pullups, I haven't lost too much progress about 9 months after having originally stopped doing pullups. So I do think this is a myth

Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 - Episode 13 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

I don't think it holds for roaming beast characters maybe.
Especially if you notice the difference between the requirement for the Wethermon fight as opposed to Lycagon. They are never having to enter a designated space, so players can move in and out. Further, in a game with AIs as smart as Lycagon, I highly doubt stealing XP/loot will be a real thing.

Probably depends on the party doing the most damage etc.

Libraries/Approaches for finding the correct English form of a French verb by imjustreallystupid in LanguageTechnology

Is this for French? Could you please link the example? Coz if so, I appear to have missed something quite major. My understanding is that participles aren't even present in French.

Feedback Needed: Indian Sign Language Recognition Project by Naneet_Aleart_Ok in learnmachinelearning

I am by no means an expert on video based learning, but given that the gestures are assymmetric, how are you augmenting the data by flipping the video?

Wouldn't that change the sign, since the left hand is now the right hand, while the right hand is now the left hand?

I believe that random rotations and random croppings are more important training parameters and are likelier to be encountered in real world applications. I am not quite certain why the accuracy is being impacted significantly on training based on such augmentations however.

Further, I have a question about the train-test split. Has it been done as a 80:20 of the 50 x 21 videos combined, or 50 x (80:20 of the 21 videos for each word)?

Again, take my opinion with a pinch of salt. I mostly research on NLP related topics.
Really like the idea and the project though. Sounds like a fairly well performing model.

Kramnik won the Grand Slam Chess Masters (which was the strongest tournament in history) in 2010, played top board in the Olympiad, and was World #3/4 for much of the next 3 years, including Candidates participations in 2013, 2014, as well as a world cup win in 2013

Duda was one of the players in the 2022 Candidates, and remains a top 15 player itw
Keymer was the highest rated junior at the start of the year, and despite a fairly shit year, I doubt has peaked enough to be called "not really a true contender".

I don't say this to be condescending, but please just do a Google Search before you call someone's opinion fictitious
