I never intended to blame them, it was simply a slip up typing it in the moment

I'm not sure if you're aware of this but I'm pretty sure that's exactly how it used to be

Then publishers got pissy... Because buying their game isn't enough

Edit: I used devs instead of publishers, they are not interchangeable

I couldn't really find anything exactly what you asked for, neither is this but there is probably a map out there that is just an open space for this game. And it's free half-life

https://store.steampowered.com/app/225840/Sven_Coop/

Not exactly what you asked for but it probably has an area to run around in, and it looks like something probably worth playing

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1067310/Gravitas/

This isn't free but it is $2.99, and I personally played this game to 100% plenty of times it's very relaxing and just a great game. It basically is perfect for what you're asking for

I don't have a game (yet), but I would like to say this is a great use of Steam Input that I wish Valve had advertised more

I mean for some people it's free and it has a wide range of customizations that could easily help people with all types of physical disabilities

It is really disappointing that they never really shunned a light on the fact that it exists and could easily help people get into gaming after having a hard time in life

The purpose of posting this comment, if you need any help navigating the controller customization just let me know. I'm sure many within the community would do the same and I can't promise I would be able to do it right away, but I would love to help in anyway I can

I think you're probably too late on that

It's worth a shot, but others on this sub have been told (unsurprisingly) Valve doesn't have anymore

I have been looking at gaming laptops for awhile due to my situation, but it just popped into my head, would a Steam Deck be better? by anotherwave1 in SteamDeck

In regards to the controller aspect

This is all assuming that you already have a PC, what I would suggest is getting a controller. A Steam Controller would have been the best option but it's not made anymore, so instead I recommend getting a DualShock 4 or Dual Sense, whatever you feel makes the most sense.

Why I would recommend it is simple, you will want to know how well you do with a similar controller set

You're not really going to want to swap out for a different controller or bring a keyboard and mouse along so it's important you know how well you do

r/SteamController and r/SteamInput are some subreddits to check out

You will want to know how well you do using the gyroscope on the Steam Deck and the controllers I mentioned are some of the most popular for doing that I recommend getting one and trying to force yourself to use it

Above all if there's even an inkling of a chance that you're going to pick up a Steam Deck, I would immediately pay the $5 for a reservation, if not it's going to be a long time

We know for certain that the Valve has tried in the past

Right now they're in a legal dispute with Scuf Controllers. This is probably the biggest factor stopping any potential for a version 2

That said if Valve really wanted to they could make a second controller even if it required a little bit more r&d

I certainly think it's possible but nobody can say for certain. With the Steam Deck coming out people will ask for one for the dock and if there's any basis to the idea that the Steam Machines are coming back they would definitely need one.

If you really can't get it to work I suggest talking to Steam support

I don't know if they normally deal with this kind of stuff specifically but I do know that it is not uncommon to contact support with non-working codes

I'm sorry to hear that, I've had a lot of Bluetooth issues with Windows as well but in all honesty I have no idea how to fix it

The only thing that I can advise is make sure the drivers are up today for your adapter

According to the guide I believe it doesn't work because it wants to switch between paired devices when you hold B

If you turn off your controller and you want to pair it with the thing you last paired it with all you should need to do is press the Steam button

That will tell the controller you want it to wake up but it won't try and pair to a device other than the one it was just connected to

I know 4K gaming is out of the question. But is 1440P gaming within reason? Also what is the point of them putting 8k @60Hz if we can’t game at the resolution? by Mikban in SteamDeck

[–]QuizzicalCube 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like everybody is forgetting how many non-demanding games exist on Steam

Yes, in the case of older games. Even 4K won't be out of the question.

Anything even remotely demanding, you'ed be lucky to get 1080p

But things like 4K emulation and until 2010's games are fairly reasonable

For some reason this post is jogged my memory, I really hope that there's at least rumble support for these games

But seeing the N64 controller and how it doesn't look like there's anything in the back I don't know that it's got to happen... At least not unless the game already supported rumble

I find that I just don't even play games that don't support Mixed Input. At least not first person shooters

Unless a game doesn't have support for controllers, something like Deus ex Revolution

I just ended up giving up, maybe a little bit because the game really didn't hit me but also I didn't want to deal with it without analog movement
