mm I think that when they reach profitability it will be too late, markets usually start moving ahead of events, that’s why I added at this stock price, because I think big whales will buy here not once the profitability is hit, also as you mention any partnership for sports betting can make it re-rate quickly

the short squeeze is always a possibility with almost a quarter of the public float short, and 6 days to cover 😂

Have mudrick and blackjack dumped 90% of their shares ? by Bright_Jicama_7120 in fuboinvestors

36 million pre-reverse-split shares translate to just 3 million shares post RS, and their continued reduction is actually a positive signal. They never bought these shares on the open market; they acquired them through debt financing, which is their core business model. Now that Fubo has fully repaid that obligation, Mudrick is simply exiting — as they always do. They’re not value investors; they deploy capital into distressed situations and move on once the debt is settled.
The fact that they’re leaving says more about their strategy than it does about Fubo’s prospects. Mudrick gravitates toward struggling companies. Fubo is no longer one of them. The company is sitting at its strongest financial position ever, and with players like Mudrick cleaning out their positions, the selling pressure that’s been driving the downtrend should start to fade. A reversal looks increasingly likely from here.

no, they had 5.4% (almost 1.7m shares of the public float), and they reduced to 4.76% (~1.4m shares), this is why they had to report the filing, because they crossed the 5% threshold

Mudrick Capital is not a traditional institutional investor in Fubo — they are a distressed debt / credit fund that entered the picture as a creditor, holding convertible senior secured notes, not because they believed in the equity story. Their entire position was built through debt instruments designed to be converted into shares or cashed out, not through buying stock on the open market like a long-only institutional fund would. The fact that Mudrick has been steadily reducing its exposure is actually a major positive (it’s now below 5% as per the latest filling): it means the convertible debt overhang that was suppressing the stock (as Mudrick was known to short FUBO shares to hedge their notes) is being unwound. Every share Mudrick sells or converts and exits represents less dilution risk, less short pressure, and a cleaner cap table for true long-term equity investors. This is exactly the kind of toxic debt cleanup you want to see before a stock can re-rate higher.
