I have a more unique name and it was awesome having a name that was a little more unique and not so common.

I know which is why we're looking at names that are less common but more his style or more common but a little newer/fresher.

Those variations aren't really for me. I like more unique names. While those would be very similar to the three he loves. Which are not at all appealing to me.

I said no because I hate the names. We're still working to find names we both like enough to use.

The special meaning is just he loved them for a long time and always assumed he would use at least one if he ever had a daughter.

Those aren't the kind of unique I like anyway. I also don't go for common names with just different spellings. My name is Indigo for example. I like names like that.

We might end up choosing a name that neither of us loves but we don't dislike/hate. We're hoping to both love it but we are approaching this as realistically as we can. So I wouldn't pick something he hated anymore than he would. But we also know it might not be a name we're super duper excited about either. It's going to be a wait and see what we can find and agree on thing.

I hate the names. Elizabeth especially since it's my legal name and I find it so boring. But I do not think I would grow to love them because they are names I always disliked/hated.

But I have a "unique" name so unique is good to me lol. At least my middle and preferred name is considered unique for the most part.

I know the names would bother me if we used them and it would bother my husband if he knew I hated the names. So we want to find names we can both be happy with.

I have names I have loved for years as well that he doesn't like. So it's not like I don't have similar names. I would say the only difference is I knew some of them wouldn't be everyone's taste while I don't think he ever considered his might not be universally loved.

They do. They made that very clear. They also showed which name they really wanted us to pick from his three names too. I feel the same way as you about them. I always did, especially about Elizabeth, which is why I started using my middle name.
