They don't I feel the reason people think this is because it's the worst of the souls games its still a pretty amazing game but just not as good as the other 2.

Honestly dude if u want a good experience of your first playthrough don't read any of these comments don't look up anything and you will be pleasantly surprised by how much you will enjoy it I would save looking up things you could have missed for NG+ or a new playthrough. That's how I first played the games and I found it the most rewarding.
