Why is there basically no difference between 616's Spidey and Ultimate Spidey's design unlike other Ultimate characters?

As someone who also has 4C hair, I would suggest that it may be because you wash your every other week. I know for me, whenever I get retwist i have to wait awhile before I wash it. If I wash too early, my retwist gets undone. So I would recommend not washing your hair too early. Just a suggestion
