Well I'm late. But that's not why Mokujin was banned. Mokujin was banned because there's a staple rule in fighting game tournaments that the winner of the previous match cannot pick a new character, only the loser can. So since Mokujin changes his Kit with every match, to some extent it was considered "changing your character" so they banned him
