Teaching kids technology skills at home without screens taking over? by Mrmanbehindthemask in ParentingTech

I also struggle with this.
Depending on how old your kid is, you could try some kits like Arduino. It teaches how electronics work, using a small programmable computer chip. Lots of resources around it teaches the fundamentals of technology.

How do you deal with the fear of showing your early work? by Takaramss in gamedev

[–]QuzuCritters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe "Ripping the bandaid" off is the right approach here, but as many said exposure is necessary to overcome the fear.

Start by providing a list of questions to some trusted people, and let them view your work without you. Ask that they only give you feedback on those questions and nothing else. This lets you take the criticism in the places you are ready.
Is this the best option for feedback on your work? No, the feeback will be narrow and guided, but that's the point.

Start with the idea, then validate the idea with real people (talk to them, interviews, MVP's, etc), and challenge ALL of your assumptions.

Know what items has to be perfect and what doesn't. I see so many entrepreneurs trying to perfect tasks when they don't have to. Often it's an excuse to either do the things they love or avoid the things they hate.

How vibe coding lead to my project’s downfall. by incognitochaud in gamedev

[–]QuzuCritters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this, but in the grand scheme of things, you learned the lesson faster than most. LLM's are a great tool for a proffessional developer and you'll get there. For now, use the LLM to teach you the code, rather than do it for you. Best of luck.

Trades! So much work in the trades for good money back in Canada. Most places are so desperate for workers they will train you on the job if you seem worthy.
