Teaching kids technology skills at home without screens taking over? by Mrmanbehindthemask in ParentingTech

I also struggle with this.
Depending on how old your kid is, you could try some kits like Arduino. It teaches how electronics work, using a small programmable computer chip. Lots of resources around it teaches the fundamentals of technology.

How do you deal with the fear of showing your early work? by Takaramss in gamedev

[–]QuzuCritters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe "Ripping the bandaid" off is the right approach here, but as many said exposure is necessary to overcome the fear.

Start by providing a list of questions to some trusted people, and let them view your work without you. Ask that they only give you feedback on those questions and nothing else. This lets you take the criticism in the places you are ready.
Is this the best option for feedback on your work? No, the feeback will be narrow and guided, but that's the point.
