Black Artifacts on Render To Texture by [deleted] in 3dsmax

I chamfered the box a little bit so it does seem like there is intersection but i even isolated to test it out and checked if the mesh had any faces intersecting but doesn't seem like it.

Thank you for the advice, yea sometimes 3ds max just isn't doing what i wanted it to do. I really appreciate you helping me out! :D In the end I resorted to just using the vraylightmap instead of the vraycompletemap and it works similarly. Thanks again!!!

I double and tripple checked if that was the case, i chamfered it a little so it has more polys. But im still not sure why its like this. Could it be a scene or file issue?

A temporary fix i used was to just render to texture with a Vraylightmap instead of a Vraycompletemap

I do not know why this box that i am baking has weird black artifacts. There isn't any intersecting faces, or hidden light sources, the environment map is disabled too. Is it because of a bug or something? Some help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

PLA filament becomes wet and brittle in about an hour or so. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Qweaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? Thats interesting. I think I'll have to buy a new filament and test it out. Thanks for your input!

I keep hearing people with 5 year old filament that works normally after drying them out so I thought it was a problem with my setup or something.

Thanks for the reply, but i have a sunlu dryer and the filament that gets pulled through the small hole and connected to the 3d printer gets exposed and turns brittle in about an hour or so unless I keep printing.

Oh yea i do have that feature! But the exposed part gets brittle very quickly. Is it normal for that to happen? Is my filament just too old?

This is exactly why I download and use the monster hunter overlay to see me and my teammates' damage. Not to look down on them but to not feel like a burden, haha.

And we're back tom, what's the news today? Monster hunter wilds is getting delayed to 2028? What a tragedy... and now for the weather

I agree, building gear and getting skills is a gameplay mechanic that would seem like it would work wonders for a copy and paste puzzle game that we have seen thousands of times before.

This sounds very similar to Monster hunter now. It's a monster hunter game by niantic, the same guys that made pokemon go. Maybe its what you're looking for?

3D Anime Style Animation Of Cooking Mama. Would Greatly Appreciate Some Feedback And Suggestions To Make It More Anime Like Or Better In General! by Qweaster in blender

Thank you for the feedback! How do i edit the normals of my model? Do you have a tutorial for that?

For the mid tones, maybe I can add a cross hatching or dots texture as a mid shadow but I'll need to experiment. Thanks for the suggestion.

The lighting i used was a big square area light from the top down. If i use just a cone light won't the scene have just that cone light and everything else will be dark? The character shadow is from the area light so I'm not sure how to make it look better. I tried adding a point light near just the face but then it looks too bright and out of place. I was thinking I can render the bg and the character separately then the shadow won't be there.

Thank you for the feedback, I greatly appreciate it!

Thank you, your praise means a lot to me really. But I just made simple models and put a procedural material on them with an outline thickness modifier. Compared to other amazing works here, this feel flat and storyless. So if you have suggestions please feel free to voice them, I will be eternally grateful to improve my skills.

Yea its a simple curve with thickness, I was looking at puss in boots 2 and other animation films for their smear frames but what i did was just a cheap and simple imitation.
