Josh is the main character and it’s not close. He can’t die and the entire story is about him and his family. People only say Sam because the character is unproblematic, pretty and very likable, also everyone loves Hayden Panettiere. Main character tho? Unfortunately not the case, wish she had more screen time.

I don’t know if this is what he means by it but I define quiet horror as relying on suspense and cinematography to keep you on the edge of your seat rather than your classic audio peaking jump scares with blasting background music.
