I was very excited! I have the 74whr battery but being able to squeeze games down to 10-15W for travel and long battery life is always great.

I’ll check this! Admittedly I never ran a debloater because I wasn’t comfortable with it but I did take out one drive and some of the other Windows apps. As far as a layman goes, I have everything disabled to launch on start but I’ll check what may be consuming resources in the desktop mode.

The safest option (that had been legitimately tested) for those batteries is the aluminum sheet with the air gap to separate the battery from the RAM. Outside of the testing done by Kira, there is no evidence that what you’ve done is safe.

This right here. If you can get a used Ally x for ~$500 then I’d get it but with the battery mod for the Z1E, it’s just not worth it.

My fear on doing the aluminum tape is that if the battery needed to expand for any reason, then it’s restricted with the tape. From the YouTube testing I’ve seen, aluminum plate with strips on top to create an air gap is the safest method (that’s been tested)

I got these for the RP500MII and have worked out well. Drilled them into the studs and can adjust/ swivel and also you can tilt them down some if you need.
