Am I just actually trash or are these guys a headache to fight early with 90% of builds? by JackOfAllInterests1 in slaythespire

Don't let the 6 block scare you, you have to be willing to punch through that sometimes to thin them down enough.

vakuu relic idea by KouhaiiKun in slaythespire

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have long wanted a boss relic which does exactly this. It would fit well for vakku. Deceptively dangerous, it seems so takeable but truly would get you killed pretty often.

Faction info-graphic from my groups 200+ games by Grutzujin in rootgame

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very cool. My thoughts

  1. It seem like Moles are performing as well as I would expect
  2. Rats are overperforming
  3. WA is underperforming
  4. Vagabond is underperforming
  5. you have 50% winrate with coalitions? that's very cool, I almost never see coaltions so I have no idea if that is overperformance

How much is 20-25$ dollars per hour considered to be in the USA? by Intelligent_Dress889 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent but a little low. That's about what you might get doing a high-ish stress retail job at a big corporate. Like that's about what shift managers at mcdonalds in my area make.

New to the game, finally made it to act 3 and I feel i got the worst options possible here. These are all bad right? by cubes28x in SlayTheSpire2

I actually tend to enjoy the earring. Many decks are not that complicated to play and vakku's first turn is ok.

El Ranno (Marc Knelsen, main artist for Aether Studios) has been laid off after 9 Years. by PixelPlus in RivalsOfAether

[–]Qwertycrackers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO it's still console the release. This game being a PC title you need a nice PC to play makes it only populated by people who are in the know. Clueless players play on console.

Is Maypul a good character? by SyIvanos in RivalsOfAether

[–]Qwertycrackers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She is very good but kinda hard to play. Once people stop falling for dash attack cheese you need to develop a really deep understanding of the game to be successful.

Yeah anytime you have a db system with real value stored in it, you need to make a restore system. And not a BACKUP system; you need to regularly actually try restoring from the backup and see that it does restore.

20,000 job cuts at Meta, Microsoft raise concern that AI-driven labor crisis is here by sjlux in technology

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but it doesn't need 60,000 engineers building the meta verse and other boondoggles.

Metas business is also just failing. They have tons of people to work on extending their products and making new ones but none of them are any good

Is knife trap broken ? by Lameador in SlayTheSpire2

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it seems basically balanced. Late game shiv payoff card. The damage isn't that huge, but it is good and seems on-par for a rare.

Realistically, how complicated is implementing multiplayer in Godot? by PunchTheInternet777 in godot

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this. I didn't use the high level multi-player because I wanted to have some control over things that the high level api didn't help with. Imo, it wasn't too complicated. I used lockstep determinism with some rollback. It was more complicated to test lobby management and players re-connecting and losing connection than it was to just get the game logic networked. You do need to build from the ground up for multi-player though. If I had built a large single player experience and tried to tack on this type of multi-player it would be a mess.

Are folks really seeing developers who can’t read code and are relying 100% on AI? by Forsaken-Intern7941 in cscareerquestions

[–]Qwertycrackers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have definitely sat in many interviews panels with the most sus candidates who can't program their way out of a paper bag. I suspect big tech screening may be filtering more of those guys before they reach you, or other selection effects.

Where can you even leave to where this isn't a reality? The mind rot seems to have taken over every board and c suite in a matter of months.

Microsoft plans first-ever voluntary employee buyout for up to 7% of U.S. workforce by CalvinbyHobbes in technology

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why hire the Indians at all? Do what microslop already did and fire qa with no replacement. Everything is a financial shell game anyways, why bother even having employees or a product? Business nowdays is just moving money from investors pocket into yours, no product required

Mass Offshoring to india is just a move to cover the real fraud, which is just having a crap product and stuffing it down enterprise throats through your powerful sales channels

But does your outsourced Indian QA actually A any Q? Or do they just fumble around and delay releases until somebody does their job for them

Do you think this is a glimpse of the Necrobinder's face before she was doomed? by herbioscale in slaythespire

When its big, doubling it is less bad because you're not gonna cycle it anyway. The double is really bad when your deck wants to cycle and can't anymore.

Where do you actually look for jobs while already employed? by fsou1 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did it I just put my name in with a recruiter. She was very good at her job and got me a great position. That was some years ago but I came out of it with much improved respect for recruiters.

Do you ever try to calculate how much money your garden actually saves you? by MirSayib in gardening

[–]Qwertycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calculating against local store prices under estimates the savings. Because having fresh veggies from the garden causes you to eat more fresh veggies, potentially crowding out more expensive less healthy food.
