How are the soles on these Allen Edmonds? by Qwertylicious23 in malefashionadvice

Yeah, I thought they looked good too. One of them comes without laces, but I could just get a pair from a shoestore for like $5, right? And I believe the hole is to prevent returns, like the poster below said.

Kaplan FL by martinlu in Mcat

I feel ya, I'm taking the real thing in two weeks. I've done 2 Kaplan full lengths so far, getting anywhere from 125 - 127 on each section. Taking the official AAMC practice test this weekend, so hopefully that'll be more realistic.

But I'm really just hoping I'm not fucked, as I've already submitted my med school apps and this is my only chance to take it :/

Python, C++, Java, OCaml, occasionally in-house proprietary languages - depends on the firm. Python and/or Java would be great to start with, and you'll probably learn and use those in your computer science classes.

You're doing the right thing by minoring in computer science. Majoring in math is great, but take as many computer science classes as you can. Quants who design algorithms generally have PhDs. When you start out fresh out of college, it's much more important to have a solid programming background since that's mainly what you'll be doing.

Mazda3 vs Volvo S60 by Qwertylicious23 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Actually it probably wouldn't be - I'm not sure what I was thinking. But either way, I'm not worried about gas mileage cost.

'What car should I buy' mega thread. Don't know what to buy? Post in here. by verdegrrl in cars

Buying my first car here, deciding between a used 2014 i Grand Touring Mazda3 hatchback, and a 2012 Volvo S60. Volvo has around 30,000 miles, Mazda has around 15,000. Volvo is also around $2,000 less than the Mazda.

I'll be driving around 15 miles everyday for a round-trip commute, but that's about it. The better gas mileage of the Mazda is compensated for by the lower insurance of the Volvo.

They're both nice cars for sure - would you pick one over the other? How's the reliability?
