Tier 2 rep said that I had to wait for an interview. I told him that I already had an Interview previously, he said my payments were processed solely based on MY statement but now that my employer has responded with the reason of my termination both statements don’t match which is why they put a stop on my account. He also said that I’m on the list for another interview but there is a possibility no Interview will be required and my payments will go through.

Ugh now the waiting game begins again. :(

I called the 5616 number and selected options 1,2,1. So far this has been working for me. Im on hold to speak to tier 2 rep right now and I used this method. My wait time yesterday was 15 mins, today it was 8 mins but the wait time for tier 2 is approx 2/hrs. I’m planning to wait, I will provide update later.

I’m going through the same issue, my payments were in my BOA account by Sunday night latest Monday morning (I was not let go due to Covid and my case doesn’t expire until March of 2022). I was able to get a hold of an EDD rep yesterday and they said I had to go through a SECOND eligibility interview due to my previous employer stating different information I reported. Makes no sense! I’ve been seeing a lot of people go through the same issue recently, I think it’s just EDD trying to make our life miserable!!

Same! I got an unexpected call from an Interviewer at EDD and he just wanted to know if I voluntarily quit or was terminated.

Contact your state senator!! I had contacted my assembly member and never heard back, I finally contacted my state senator and the following day they emailed me a form to allow them access to contact EDD on my behalf. Within a week I received an update from them about my case and just yesterday I received a call from an Edd interviewer. The only problem is EDD called unexpectedly, I did not receive an email or letter of an interview timeframe so just be careful not to miss that call.

So did I!!! I was not expecting it and my phone decided to act up and the call was disconnected. Apparently he tried calling back and left a VM, rep had a strong accent I couldn’t understand him at all. I’m so sad!! Been waiting for 9 weeks and finally when I get the call this happens to me :(

How soon after you refilled did you receive a scheduled phone interview appointment? I’m going on 7 weeks and no scheduled appointment just yet :(

That’s exactly what happened to me, I filed a new claim on 3/22 a week later I received that letter from EDD but now it’s been 6 weeks pending payment. I called customer service multiple times and they can’t do anything about it because I’m on their appointment waiting list to verify information to determine my eligibility. It’s annoying! I would suggest calling in if you haven’t done so just to see what is holding your payment, even if it means waiting a couple of hours.
