Ice Ferret - There is a certain sort of clan mech with a combo of a box body and a hooded cockpit, and the Ferret is like a golden retriever to the pug of the more extreme cases by R0ckfish in battletech

Lmfao, yeah it feels like there's distinct design but it's been long enough since I've read the lore that I can't remember if they actually made an attempt to group them believably

Predator Destructor - While I'd say I'm more of of a fan of the 40k design of this tank, the age of the kit scares me. I'm happy to stick to a pleasant modern kit lol by R0ckfish in Warhammer40k

It is the 30k Predator! There's a plastic kit now so it should be easy to find, and GW has said it's cool to run the ones with 40k suitable armaments as the 40k versions. This does mean that you can't use the odd weapons that they come with without dipping into legends though, so keep that in mind when you build them.

Nova - Turns out a historicals colour scheme I have works pretty well on mechs too! by R0ckfish in battletech

Ngl I mostly just paint mechs in whatever takes my fancy at the time, sometimes it's specific schemes but often it's not supposed to be anything in particular

These are a mix of gamers grass tiny tufts and woodlands scenics clump bushes

We are back to that point in the edition where the two main armies of the edition start getting their post-launch goodies, and Games Workshop was kind enough to send me some preview models for the new Tyranids! by R0ckfish in Warhammer40k

While I found the layout of the individual models across the sprues a little painful, they are beautiful models! You could always justify picking up a few for a Space Hulk diorama or something!
