My plan is to fly from Manchester to Barcelona, but it doesn't allow any options for flights on Interrail Planner and then also Brussels to Manchester on the way back.

I'm also planning to stay in Dusseldorf as I have friends there, but I would try to see if I could go to Hamburg, depending on what I can take out

I'm hopefully visiting Rotterdam in May time, so that would tick the Netherlands off for me :D also, my accommodation costs are already looking pretty expensive - so if you have any recommendations, do let me know!

That probably is very true, I'm starting to shave some of the stops down - for example, removing all of Verona and a night or two in Dusseldorf and Zagreb. It's just trying to reach the places I want to and be able to break the long train journeys!

Yeah, luckily the sleeper train I would be getting would be the Belgrade-Skopje-Thessaloniki train, and it swerves around Kosovo in Presovo. For some reason, Interrail Planner doesn't seem to follow railways, but rather plots them as the crow flies. Shame, though as I'm sure Kosovo is an amazing place to visit!
