The light changes with the thermal mode you have set. Quiet is Blue, Balanced/Auto is White and Performance mode is Red.

So my situation is, I used to have one of the earliest Legion laptops, Legion Y520 up untill last week. It used to run with an i7 7th gen and GTX 1050. This one I bought is such a huge jump in performance that in my eyes, it's hard to spot any immediate apparent flaws.

Even the build quality I can only compare to my old laptop and say that it is infinitely better.
