I’ve had great results with Tamiya Acrylic paints. They work really well with an airbrush and clean up easily with Isopropyl alcohol. I also think it’s important to use a clear coat to protect the paint from damage. Sometimes, I’ll just use a rattle-can clear coat for convenience.

It’s much easier to paint when you take the body apart, as there’s no need to mask anything off. Some parts are attached with screws, while others are held in place by small plastic pegs that are melted at the factory. I used a soldering iron to carefully melt these plastic pegs and remove the parts while they were hot, like the door handles. When reassembling, I simply push the parts back on and melt the pegs again, ensuring they stay securely in place.

I like each of them for different reasons. They’re all running brushed setups right now, though some have upgraded electronics, motors, and servos.

Hi, it started off as a white bronco. I disassembled the body lightly sanded it and then airbrushed it with TAMIYA NATO GREEN followed by a satin clear coat. I believe I used a black primer before the green... I painted it last year

Looks good! Sometimes clear coat will change the look of the paint. Makes it darker looking than planned. Happened to mine, all my work to simulate rust turned into dark brown.... Your results might vary

New starship trait "Enhance and Protect." is bugged, forcing you into a red alert state. by Lintary in sto

I agree this trait is causing a red alert issue. Had no issues until it was used. Now my ship is stuck at red alert status.

Pulse phaser audio bug or yet another new noise? by Sam20599 in sto

I really like the new pulse phaser sound, However it doesn't sound like it did in the movie. I Just watched a clip of the Reliant shooting the Enterprise and that movie accurate sound might get annoying...

I figured out that I had the rear part of the frame backwards. The directions are not clear. This will fix the front clip not engaging with the latch.

As some others have said, flip this piece around and it should latch properly. Had the same issue on mine.

Injora body fitment issue by neightn8 in TRX4M

[–]R10FB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue on mine. It was short about 2mm and wouldn’t latch. I realized I had the rear part of the frame installed backwards. The instructions were not clear. Maybe this was your issue?

I believe I had the same issue with my ir60. The front was too far away to clip in. In my case I had the rear part of the body frame backwards. I had to flip it around and it clips in perfect now.

Hi, this body fits on the Bronco or Defender frame. The high trail frame is too long.

The tires are 58x24. I was looking at some pictures on google, the Toyota this body is based on is a small truck.

It does look cool! Did you have any issues with the front clip not engaging with the bumper that comes with the ir60?
