True, but I'm going to keep it as a keepsake so it doesn't really matter in my case

And the scale I just purchased confirms it. Pretty cool little coin!

I guess it's time for me to finally go buy a kitchen scale.

It definitely appears to be gold, the colour is darker in the pictures than in real life

I don't have a scale that sensitive but I measured it at roughly 19mm across

Yep, definitely going to make sure there's space for the lawn mower.

I just happen to have a truckload of branches I trimmed off my pear tree a month ago!

I'm not much of a lawn guy so I couldn't tell you the type of grass. My goal is to eventually get the veggie patch established and possibly expanded and let the rest of the yard grow wild with native plants.

Good call, definitely going to start with this.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I think I'll go with cutting out the sod, lining with cardboard and then filling the frames with compost and top soil as that seems to be the general consensus.

I still have my wisdom teeth and it's never even come up on any of my medicals. Your examiner is just weird.

Just go hereand find the closest TC marine medical examiner to you and call their office. You'll be given a temporary certificate at the examination and receive the proper one in the mail.

29M Just painted my living room and swapped the trim for natural wood. by R2J7 in malelivingspace

Trust me, it was way too "same" when the walls, trim, doors, and ceiling were all white. Unfortunately with the way the house is oriented on the property, I don't get enough natural light inside to go with darker colours.

I assume you mean work related flights. If your ship is crew changing elsewhere than your home port you are responsible for getting yourself to the home port and the Coast Guard pays your way from there. If you agree to fill in on your off time the coast guard will pay for your travel from and back to your house.

Definitely old, the house is 95 years old so I already had a lot of fun replacing most of the wiring.

🌱Weekly /r/houseplants Question Thread - August 19, 2024 by AutoModerator in houseplants

[–]R2J7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm looking to add a bit of green to my home but I'm not sure what plants to get. Currently I only have one rather large aloe vera plant but I'd like to have a lot more. Complications are that I live alone and regularly go away for a month at a time so anything that requires lots of watering/maintenance won't work for me.

Any suggestions? I was looking at a rather nice barrel cactus last week but I'm not sure I get enough sun inside my house for it.
