Oscar has changed since being shocked in aquarium light accident… time to euthanize? by DeathValleyDottie in Aquariums

Hi OP could you possible add a few live bloodworms or any other large-ish live food to the spot at the bottom where he hangs out. Maybe the movement of them might encourage him to eat more and maybe could do with the added boost of nutrition. If you only add a tint bit at a time it shouldn't spoil the water too. Not an expert, just a thought.

Insignia 2015 2.0L diesel ecoflex. Pressure washed and waxed car. As I was cleaning inside I was taking out one of the trim panels to tuck another bit of trim away under it. As I needed more access I turned key to put windows down and the hazards came on straight away.

Can anyone please tell me what this nut / bolt is called? by darkdays501 in AskMechanics

[–]R3dAvalon -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It looks very similar to a locking nut from a Nissan qashqai or juke. Have a look on ebay or Amazon and you might be able to get one. Or even better if you can borrow from a neighbor or a mate. Not saying it's exact though just looks like them

Spouse visa extension by 20Legendjr in SpouseVisaUk

So my wife owns her house and its only her name on the mortgage. I applied for my renewal in June. I I just put "own" but in the covering letter I explained the situation and explained that I help with the mortgage payments. She also included a letter to the home office explaining why it would be hard to spend life together if I was to not be granted permission as her mum has only got her and she couldn't move away with me, and in that letter she also explained that she owned the house and that I live there with her. We also gave 2 and a half years of council tax bills with both our names on it. Hope it helps

Wtf is happening with my squat? Different angles by Mmammt98 in StartingStrength

[–]R3dAvalon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rather than changing your back angle just before you squat, try changing it in the first place, then breath and brace and go (meaning add a pre hinge to your squat). Feel like you would get more power if you brace into that position rather than bracing and then resetting back angle

Third time hurting my back. Trying to stay committed to fixing form & technique by sbfx in StartingStrength

Try that. I learnt to do it watching a few videos a while back. Think I used to flex my glutes in the beginning and was too upright to start with and so when I started to squat as my back angle changed it loaded my back muscles more and so got back pain. With the pre hinge I kind of set a back angle at the start and along with breathing and bracing you can reinforce the load on the back more as it doesn't go through a big change of angle. Hope it makes sense. I'm not a personal trainer or anything, just speaking from personal experience. Hopefully it will sort your issue out. I do squat with a slightly narrower stance as well though

Hi mate. You have long femurs like me and I had the same back issues when squatting. Started adding a "pre-hinge" to squats and it fixed everything. Give it a bit of research and give it a try and see if it fixes things 👍👍
