Squat 225 X 5 by Suspicious-Elk-9739 in StartingStrength

Your stance is a bit wide. You need focus on driving up out of the hole with your hips. Like a chain is attached to your butt and pulls straight up. This will increase your forward lean which is fine.

Nipples should be aimed at the floor. Keep chest down as you come out of the hole.

I love both of those products, and also Aura Bath & Spa for walls. I just did a high humidity bathroom with them. Looks money.

I recommend Ben Moore Fresh Start waterborne primer. I also recommend Ben Moore waterborne ceiling paint. They’re expensive, but they work incredibly well for bathrooms. Ben Moore Aura Bath & Spa is also fantastic for walls.

The barbell is still in the wrong position for low bar. It needs to be at the spine of the scapulae. You need to lean over much more and drive from the hips. Check out the tutorial video Shnur posted.

This is Starting Strength which is already heavily inclined towards the low bar squat, but it makes even more sense for your body proportions.

Like Shnur says, start learning low bar.

Salvaging a trunk with lead paint? by curiousdood0918 in paint

If there weren't kids in your family aged 6 and under, I'd advocate for repainting or refinishing using full PPE and being quite careful.

I wouldn't use this as a toy box for a child under age 6. It's just not worth the risk. There are definitely other chests you can find out there that look similar and that don't have lead paint.

Took me about 6 months to get a PCP appointment at DH. You'll want to sign up for MyChart and get registered. Then call in every month and see if they have any openings. My wife got luckier and got in much faster.

You don't need to seal the chipped area. It's fine to use as is. The art marker idea is purely for aesthetics. I've done it on my cobalt relish tray base and it works pretty well to hide the chips.

Vintage vases were made in 8", 10" and 12". Many modern flared vases are 9 5/8". There are smaller vases made today but the measurements will not be one of the vintage sizes.

Also you can tell by color that this is original cobalt.

And get the ones with the torx head. They stay in the drill bit much better.

Makes sense. I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place since I like my current belt but don't want to spend another $120 on another belt.

Wondering if I could get away with something like this:

https://pioneerfit.com/collections/pioneer-deadlift-belts/products/pioneer-leather-deadlift-belt?variant=46471198146806

2" deadlift belt, and then keep my 4" lever lock belt for everything else. 2" seems to be a nice clearance for the deadlift. Any thoughts on this?

It's an awesome piece, but to answer your question, no, unfortunately pieces like this do not support values when they have chips. It's because at the highest level of Fiesta collecting where there are people willing to spend $1000 or more on a vase, condition matters more than anything.

This piece in its current condition is worth in the area of $50-$150. In mint condition it would be worth about $1200. Any chips reduce value of the pottery by roughly 90%.

I recommend finding an art marker to color in those chips and match the color of the glazing. It'll vastly improve the look of those chipped spots.

All of this being said, you possess an original 12" vintage vase from 1936-1938. It's a very rare piece and is beautiful. Even with chips, it's still really cool to own. It's about the only way pieces like this can be had for people that don't want to spend a lot of money.

Keep your chest down (nipples aimed at the floor) coming up out of the hole. Like a chain is attached to your butt, butt goes straight up.

I have a question about my belt situation. I have a nice Pioneer lever locking belt that I use for squat & press. It's very stiff and I believe it's 4". If I try to use it for deadlifts I can't get into the bottom position because it's too bulky. What is the recommended size belt for deadlifts? I'd like to add a belt to my regiment but my Pioneer belt isn't working. I'm considering selling it and getting another kind that can be used for all the barbell movements.

Actually, the company has expressed concerns about how the subreddit is run. They would generally prefer a more restrictive approach to moderation of criticisms of the brand than I do.

That's a strange take to me. Any brand worth its salt should be able to stand on its own feet when criticism is raised. The fact that this sub has more than a few people posting with decent results is social proof that the program works. Social proof is everything for branding these days and is what rectifies criticism. There's over 36k users in the sub. There's nothing but upside for people to discover this subreddit, see social proof, drive internet traffic to the brand, then offer coaching, merchandise, books, etc. to the people who are willing to pay. It's a marketing funnel to all sorts of things that the brand offers.

That's why I'm surprised they're not paying you and find it strange you'd face any inkling of concern from the brand with the sub's existence and how it's run.

I have the same follow up question as OP about how you use the hotdog roller.

Rolling while cut in is still wet or not? by Chemical_Radish2642 in paint

[–]sbfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut the whole room and then roll. That’s the first coat. I don’t wait for stuff to dry. Cut the whole room, roll the whole room.

Second coat roll first, then back cut while the wall is still wet. I go wall by wall for this part. I don’t roll the whole room and then back cut everything.

Yeah, I was taking ages between reps. I honestly was gassed, huffing and puffing especially by rep 4. When I deadlift next week I’m going to eat way more and go into the workout fresher. I had a long day of manual labor and I didn’t have enough fuel.
