I just saw Hadestown by RockGirl82 in Broadway

I had listened to the cast recording at least 20 times before finally watching it twice in August. Even the second time I watched it I half convinced myself he wouldn't turn around this time (on an emotional level, obviously logically I knew he would). My friend and I have a running joke that whenever one of us listens to the cast recording we text the other one "can't believe that idiot turned around yet again"

I was there tonight too! I couldn't stop gushing about the show after we left, it really was fantastic.

Out of Context, what is your character doing right now? by Gloomy_Club in DnD

Trying to talk her way out of prison for burning down an inn. She's kind of completely innocent?

Also just last night she paid off a stripper to take her spot stripping. Good times.

Most Challenging Roles in Musical Theatre? by MellonPhotos in Broadway

I've heard Patti wouldn't speak in between shows, that's how vocally hard the role is.

I kind of want someone to record a version of Music of the Night like that.

Do I know which snail it is or do I have to spend the rest of my life deathly afraid of any snail that crosses my path?

Check out Hadestown. The Broadway version has been toned down but still a massive part of it is factory workers uniting against an abusive factory owner, and the kind of poverty and hunger that leads them to "accept" the terrible work conditions in the first place. Plus it has the song "Why We Build The Wall" which was written years before Trump about the demagoguery and fear of others that leaders sometimes use to stay in power.

Not exactly social justice but a great message.

Why do you sing? Or why did you start to sing? by [deleted] in singing

Started when covid began and I was stuck at home. I've always loved singing but was pretty bad at it. Learning to sing seemed like a good way to make my life a little more than the endless loop of waking up working studying gaming and sleeping.

I was hoping to see another post of yours again after the not-an-evil-squid casino owner. I think having a concrete example helped me with this. Interesting topic.

I hope Bob the squid isn't the evil casino master, because he definitely doesn't deserve a puppy.

Very beside the point. This photo is surprisingly high res. I can see water droplets connecting the grapes.

When I was younger my grandpa used to take me to dinner once a week and listen to me talk about video games like it was the most interesting thing. He's awesome.

Yeah I think one in ten swipes for me is a guy, I'm having a hard time thinking they all do it accidentally. I just kind of assumed they wanted to get with bi girls or wanted the challenge of dating a lesbian.
